Coachella isn’t just a music festival – it’s a full on RUNWAY! And we love giving it our all! Just like previous years, 2024’s fashion did NOT disappoint. We saw LOTS of cut-offs, boots, see-thru dresses, slicked back hairstyles and a staple…COWBOY HATS. But babes, if there was one takeaway from festival fashion this year, its that personal style ruled all! Our Editor-in-Chief, Erika De La Cruz , took some trends and her favorite fashion items to the desert and really cooked a weekend of fits. We’re excited to share what she wore with all of you and offer up some ideas on where to get them. If you happen to recreate them, we want to see ’em! So tag us on insta (find us at @thelagirl) so we can see your incredible Coachella looks you styled up just in time for weekend 2. With that said, here’s Erika’s style guide for Coachella 2024.
Day One: Travel Day Casual
The drive to Palm Springs from LA will be long during festival weekends (anywhere between 3-5 hours!). Traffic gets crazy so let fashion be comfy and easy during the drive. Erika wore stretchy lululemon bikers, a pair of all white sneaks and a “pièce de résistance” – a streetwear top from a new super cool brand – Bam-Bam. Their designs are developed from hand-drawn illustrations (literally wearable art) with the intention for everyone to feel fabulous and confident in them. LOVE!

Of course, as soon as we got to our hotel aka The Cole powered by Sonder ( more about that here) we just HAD to lounge by the pool. Erika decided to rock this Barbie pink suit, straw visor, and opted for a non-traditional cover up. She threw on this printed set from Zara ( she found it in Mexico City!) with leather slides, also from Zara. Such a fabulous and fashionable R&R time before the weekend kicked off.

Day Two: Black & White Day Vibes
Day Two was a whirlwind of a dreamy afternoon! We were beyond excited to hit up so many parties in a matter of 12 hours and Erika made sure she brought the fashion to each one. We kicked off the afternoon at Camp Poosh where we were feeling nostalgic summer vibes. Erika ws feeling those B&W vibes and opted for a see-thru black and white floral netted number from AKNVAS. It was perfect. Cool, sophisticated, fun and edgy. We love classy embroidery and this dress had embroidered flowers and fringe that had her dancing all day long! To compliment this style, she added a chic black visor, white boots from Schutz and a shade of burnt red on her lips with a Rebecca King Crews lipstick. Her phone right by her side in its Bandolier case.

Later we changed into a frilly fun number for more dancing. Bucket hats aren’t going anywhere and Erika wore this statement one from Lulu’s to stand out at Revolve’s party. She wanted ease in her outfit and chose to wear this cashmere top from DCV. Unfortunately, its out of stock on the site but we found this similar one from Revolve. She sustainibly used the biker shorts in her luggage and shoe-wise, she opted for chunkier comfortable ones and these Prada sandals are so chunky they will save anyones feet from hours of dancing!

For the next party – Erika changed into a sophisticated festival look with a felt fedora. We actually love this one from Kemosabe, She paired everything with a tweed crop top ( we have a similar one here) , Ganni trousers, sock like kitten heeled booties, Quay sunnies – they had a super cool pop up at Revolve’s bash and this stunning bag from A.Cloud A. Cloud‘s Interstellar Collection. A line of accessories that we’ve been obsessed with for a while now and inspired by the endless expanse of wonder and mystery and guided by the creative vision of Ty Hunter (Beyonce’s stylist) & Manuel Mendez (Bey’s daughter – Blue Ivy’s stylist). Check her out dancing and moving in them below.

Day Two: Neon Nights
We had our first invite to Neon Carnival so Erika knew she had to bring an epic to look to the festivities. Streetwear cool was the vibe so Erika knew her Amanda Uprichard utility seat was a great choice for an epic night of music and Taylor Swift sight seeing. She paired it with her New Balances from Day One and carried an over sized bomber for the chillier moments. To carry everything, including her cute beige claw clip, she brought this Amazon score.
