#OOTW: What The LA Girl is Wearing This Week

Weekly wardrobe woes are officially over! We’re helping you get dressed in the best trends for a weekly fit that will slay the streets of LA. Once a week our fashion forward team is curating  an all over look full of cool, chic and (sometimes) budget friendly pieces to ensure you’re always impeccably styled. Our mission is to redefine your wardrobe to embrace every season and every trend that comes your way. See what we’ve fashioned this week.

Sleek Green Tones

Cool down this weekend with this sleek green fit. Start off with this asymmetric dress from Zara, the avocado color is perfect for spring and summer! To give you some length in that dress, we sourced these chunky heeled sandals from Staud to keep you walking tall. Building on that elevated look, Amami just dropped this clutch purse that looks good with every outfit. And since the sun has been out lately, don’t forget these Aire sunglasses to keep your eyes protected. Speaking of sun protection, this body butter from My July and shampoo from Oribe are essential for moisturized skin and hair. And to complete the look, toss on these Chan Luu earrings.

Orange (& Blue) is the New Black

Who knew that Orange and blue could look this good? If you need some new staples for hot girl summer (or spring), then you need to hit up Revolve for these Bardot cut out trousers. They are so summery and white goes with everything! From Zara, this satin bow top, will definitely turn heads anywhere you go. But enough about black and white, because the orange and blue color combo is where the magic happens in this look. This orange bucket hat and navy crescent bag from Amazon are standout accessories at a reasonable price. For shoes, these comfy mary jane’s from Cushionaire are perfect for long walks, or around the house. To keep the blue motif going, throw on these lapis earrings from Moon Magic, just for good measure. And don’t forget your SPF! This summer, stay protected and hydrated with MadHippie’s ultra sheer sunscreen.

Blue Zone

If you want to look and stay cool for Spring this asymmetrical top from Cider is a great choice for any daytime occasion. Pair with  these Argent linen twill trousers and brown leather loafers from Madewell for that touch of elegance. Need a new go-to bag for the summer? Khaite just dropped a new east west bag that looks good on everybody. It looks even better with these brown Gentle Monster sunglasses. For jewelry, try this Brilliant Earth bracelet and Astrid & Miyu hoop earrings. And for flawless summer skin, check out the brand new Porefessional Hydro Pop from Benefit Cosmetics. An essence that reduces the look of pores and preps skin for makeup with 12 hours of hydration. Yup it’s so good it’s only sold online and on Benefit’s TikTok Shop.

Metal Flowers

Flowers and metallics are an unlikely match, but this textured ensemble will get you noticed. Start off with this corset top and midi skirt from Plan C. The Italian brand is “the coolest thing to come out of Milan”(according to Town and Country). It’s a little pricey, of course, but it’s an investment that is meant to last you many seasons. For an extra touch of floral texture, opt for this headband from Anthropologie. To pull it together,  we just discovered this fabulous statement bag from A. Cloud‘s Interstellar Collection. A line of accessories inspired by the endless expanse of wonder and mystery and guided by the creative vision of A.Cloud and Ty Hunter  (Beyonce’s stylist) & Manuel Mendez (Bey’s daughter – Blue Ivy’s stylist). We’ve then accented the silver and black hues of the Black Hole Bag with some black magic eyeshadow from e.l.f., silver hoops from Mejuri, and we love these Tony Bianco heels.

Picnic in Griffith Park

Picnic in the park anyone? Head over to Griffith or Los Angeles Historic State Park for an epic picnic in this caramel and chocolate ensemble. This Döen sundress is cute and comfy: perfect for a stroll in the park! And speaking of comfy, this unlined bra from Skims feels effortless underneath the dress. For footwear, try these tan heels from Lulu’s. The ankle-strap adds that extra bit of comfort when you are walking around all day in the sunshine. Speaking of sunshine, opt for these Rayban bio-based sunnies. Its milk-chocolate color is the perfect compliment to the light and medium hues in the rest of the look. And for makeup, Too-Faced just dropped this bronzing and sculpting stick that gives the perfect contour for everyday wear. Top it off with these Ivy Jewelry gold earrings, and of course, a picnic basket! This vintage basket from Woven is a must-have.

LA Meets Austin

Inspired by the desert, this casual-rustic outfit is perfect for any of your favorite music festivals this season. We all know that desert weather can be unpredictable at music festivals, and our EIC Erika De La Cruz swears by this cropped jacket by Max Mara on cool nights in LA. It’s a statement in itself, but it looks even better when paired with these effortless, wide-legged trousers from Aritzia. Then throw on this cropped t-shirt by Skims (Kim, we love you !) and some dark leather flats like these mary jane’s from Döen. And you can’t go to a music festival without a good ol’ cowgirl hat.  Try this one from Janessa Leoné and brighten it up with this gold-turquoise compass necklace from gorjana. Most importantly, don’t forget to moisturize! This hand balm from Aesop will quench your skin all day and night.

Festival Fun

Spring is upon us and we’re forecasting for festival season next month. We assembled this stylish look with bright cool colors and warm accessories. For an effortless Coachella look, try these easy going cargo pants from Diesel and this Miaou long sleeve tee so you can achieve an effortless look for Coachella, Stagecoach, or whatever festival you’re planning on attending this season. And we LOVED the blue tones in this shirt, so we found this eye catching baby bag from BY FAR. FYI: the bold, Aquamarine color really flatters every skin tone. We then paired this outfit with  Gazelles , emerald studs  Silent Opus (a new fav of ours), and for a warm-up, try this everyday belt by Madewell and this adorable bracelet from Selenichast. And for that sun-kissed daytime look, keep this peachy blush from Elf handy becasue its super buildable and super affordable.

Winter meets Spring

Before we spring into our Coachella and summer ensembles, we gotta sneak in some last minute winter looks. Honoring the richness of wintertime, we are wearing this satin Lila Gown from NBD, and these Alexander Wang, Lucienne sandals. Their deep blueberry hues are giving Sandra Bullock at the Oscars. We carried that passionate saturation to our accessories too. The Le Bambino Long Flap from Jacquemus, in cherry red, is totally on trend for winter along with some full-bodied neutrals ala this 90’s claw clip from alo. For nails, we chose this Jade Green nail polish. The touch of licorice in the color cools down the look.  Vogue says that Chloè (the ultra-chic French brand) has brought back boh0-chic. Since Anthropologie is as boho as they come, we found this darling rosette choker and triple flower earrings to complete our winter-meets-spring look.

Simply Chic

Blue jeans and a white shirt is an American classic but when you add Proenza Schouler and Prada accessories to go with it, classy just got elevated. Still Here NY has some of the hottest denim pieces this year. Their walker jeans are the perfect riff to a classic  blue jeans & tee look.  To contrast the jeans add a pure poplin shirt from Calvin Klein and these Jeffery Campbell stiletto boots that’ll turn heads when roaming Rodeo Drive on a shopping spree. We love these black Prada sunglasses and bolo tie for a luxe statement. But for that extra touch, wear a gold watch ( we found this one from Olivia Burton) and a brown leather Proenza Schouler shoulder bag that would look good on anyone.

Earth, Air, & Water

Inspired by earth, air and water, this coquette look soaks up #springvibes with a 1930’s inspired, green Thalia Dress  from Dôen, paired with airy white and ocean blue accessories. These pointed-toe bow loafers from Vivaia and this bag from Alexander Wang brings cool girl energy with a cozy, coquette delivery. That’s why we threw in a silky white bow and these flower pearl earrings and pearl necklace to tie it together. These accessories bring in an aura of mid-century American glamour ala Lana Del Rey.

L.A. Casual Cool

Shopping for that California cool look? Look no further, cause we built this fit around EIC Erika De La Cruz’s new favorite bag from Proenza Schouler. We went with a monochromatic black top and bottom, featuring this Aritzia off-the-shoulder sweater  and these classic Levi 501’s. For a pop of color, we brightened the look up with green and gold accents with Gola x Snow Xue Gao’s new Elan sneakers collaboration that are comfy, cute, and compliment these Zynnia Collective clover earrings and this Oak & Luna charm bracelet. To keep your lips moisturized and sultry, we recommend the Espresso-colored, peptide lip tint from Rhode Skincare.

Then add gold stud earrings (from T.J Maxx nonetheless) to brighten your look and just like Sarah Jessica Parker taught us on Sex and the City, you can never go wrong with a pair of Manolo’s. In case you tend to get cold when you go out in L.A. during the winter, this Gucci scarf (found at Marshalls!) will keep you warm. Winter in LA

Long denim skirts have taken over this year’s fashion trends, they’re casual with the right touch of elegance. We pair them with a chunky white turtleneck sweater. For accessories we chose to stick to dark red and silver to give a more chilly and wintery look, think Snow White. The red heels, coupled with a matching purse and lipstick, create a coordinated and sophisticated look. Completing the ensemble we choose silver hoop earrings and this fun charm bracelet watch, adding the perfect finishing touch. This is the perfect look to wear on a day out with your besties.

Thanksgiving Feels

Gossip Girl is back in a big way, which means styles like Serena and Blaire are back too. Preppy, chic, elevated, trendy, AND all in browns (what else screams fall?). We chose a two piece flannel set from Revolve, a corset and skirt, as our base then added a chocolate blazer to keep things stylish. Of course, no look is complete without accessories. Style the look up with an eye-catching headband, gold earrings, and a charm bracelet and don’t forget the classy loafers to complete your fit.

Comfy Casual

This outfit embodies California’s fall weather. Sunny days but chilly air can make it difficult to know how to put a fit together, but we think this one if the perfect blend of warm meets cool. We started off with an oversized vintage sweater and matched it with the cutest denim mini skirt from Revolve. Did you hear? Short UGGS are back in style and we choose to style it with girlie ruffled socks. Accessorize with a flowered hair clip to match the socks. We couldn’t decide between pearl and gold jewelry so we went halfsies and found a simple charm bracelet and pearl earrings! To top it off we added a neutral bucket bag. A delightful outfit to wear anywhere from grocery shopping to grabbing lunch or even all day on campus.

Transitional Staples

Summertime sadness is hitting hard, but who is ready to leave those bikinis and cover-ups for cozier vibes? That’ll be us. Now we get it, we live in LA, so an early start to fall is non-existent. But that doesn’t mean we can’t incorporate some pieces to make a pumpkin spice splash. These pieces are great “transition staples.”  First up, this REVOLVE Plaid Skort that can go with any top, even this versatile Skims basic black tee. Now, let’s amp up the charm. Grab a pair of trendy black loafers and white ruched socks for a balanced blend of comfort and style.
