Where to See the Best Christmas Lights in LA this Holiday Season

Tis’ the season to see holiday lights, and lucky for us, there are plenty of hot spots to visit around Los Angeles to experience the festive atmosphere. We can hardly believe the holiday season is already among us! It’s time to break out those puffer jackets and mini Uggs and head off to see some Christmas lights with your favorite people. Clearly, we are in the spirit, so here’s a list of our favorite places to see the best holiday light displays in LA. We know you’re going to LOVE them!

Sparkle Downtown LA

Location: The Bloc, 700 W 7th St, Los Angeles

It’s the time of year for sweaters and Instagram-able photos. Happening in Downtown LA at The Bloc, experience one of LA’s largest multi-colored interactive holiday displays. A magical holiday show featuring 18 million hues of lights synchronizing with festive tunes. Come join us and capture your photo-ops with the 32ft Christmas tree.

Mission Inn Festival of Lights

Location: Mission Inn, 3649 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside

The Mission Inn in Riverside, CA, is celebrating its 30th Annual Festival of Lights this year. Yup, that’s right! The festival is going to be going on for the entity of this years holiday season. If you have never been, this is the year to go and experience the holiday cheer. The Mission Inn is home to one of the nation’s largest holiday light displays, which should be enough reason to get cozy and head out to see what all of the hype is about.

Christmas Tree Lane

Location: Altadena Library, 600 E Mariposa St, Altadena

Christmas Tree Lane in Altadena, CA, is celebrating its 103rd Annual Lighting Ceremony and Winter Festival on December 7th from 3 PM to 9 PM, the iconic lighting ceremony starting at 6pm. Experience nearly a mile of holiday lights that light up the 135-year-old Deodar trees that line Christmas Tree Lane. P.S. If you’re in a giving mood, Christmas Tree Lane is operated solely on the generosity of volunteers, and they could always use an extra set of hands.

Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego

Location: Hotel Del Coronado, 1500 Orange Ave, Coronado

Looking for a mini holiday weekend getaway? Just two hours outside of LA is Coronado Island in San Diego. The famous Hotel Del Coronado has a ton of holiday activities to get you in the festive spirit. Starting November 21st to January 5th, they will have a tree light show, with lights orchestrated to holiday music every single night! You can catch this show from 5 PM to 9 PM every 30 minutes, so be sure to keep your eyes and ears open to capture this magical show. After the light show, be sure to enjoy the ice rink by the sea at Hotel Del Coronado for even more holiday fun!

The Grove

Location: The Grove LA, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles

This holiday season, rumor has it that The Grove LA will be decked out with twinkling lights, festive sights and joyful experiences everywhere you turn.. There is something for everyone here, from a giant sleigh suspended 20-feet in the air to the venue’s signature towering Christmas tree and photos with Santa Claus, the entire grounds are a vibe this season. Plus, you can catch snowfall every night at 7 PM until the end of the year.

Holidays in Beverly Hills

Location: Throughout Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is the place to be all year-round, but especially during the holidays. The city is decked out with beautiful holiday lights and displays. To get everyone into a festive mood you can ride the Jolly Trolly from Rodeo Drive to get there. With lights on the lily pond, a Christmas tree, Menorah Display, Glowing Gardens at Beverly Canon Gardens, and Rodeo Drive’s Up Up and Away Holiday presentation, you can’t miss this taste of holiday spirit in one of our favorite cities going on now till January 5th.

Holiday Road in Calabasas

Location: King Gillette Ranch, 26800 West Mulholland Hwy, Calabasas

Open from 5 PM to 9:30 PM every day is Holiday Road in Calabasas. You do not want to miss out on this immersive holiday experience. Tickets start at $24.99 for the family holiday event of the season. You will experience larger-than-life holiday displays, over 1000 Christmas lights, Santa and Mrs. Claus, food trucks, and even a holiday bar.
