1. The Santa Clause

What would you do if you found out your dad was Santa Clause? This one needs no introduction. We all know and LOVE The Santa Clause; it’s a holiday classic. This sweet and hilarious movie is sure to get you in the Holiday spirit, and guess what? All three of the movies are available throughout December on Sling TV *wink wink*

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Genre: Family/Fantasy

Starring: Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen, & Christine Baranski

Ah yes, another holy grail holiday movie! Aside from the family fun that is How the Grinch Stole Christmas, here are some more reasons you need to add this movie to your watch list:

1. Jim Carrey as the Grinch

2. The meme-able moments

3. Baby Grinch

3. Home Alone

Genre: Family/Comedy

Starring: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, & Daniel Stern

This has to be a holiday movie staple in every home. No matter how many times you watch it, it truly never gets old. On the off chance you haven’t seen it, you can make things right and watch Kevin defend his home against burglars after his family leaves him to go to Paris on a Christmas vacation.

4. Life-Size 2: A Christmas Eve

Genre: Fantasy/Comedy

Starring: Tyra Banks & Francia Raisa

Life-Size is a childhood favorite! Miss Tyra Banks and Lindsay Lohan stole our hearts in 2000 when the first Life-Size premiered on Disney Channel and if you haven’t seen the second one, be prepared to fall in love all over again! Life-Size 2 is going to give you all the childhood feels AND get you in the holiday spirit.

5. Frosty the Snowman

Genre: Musical/Fantasy

Starring: Jimmy Durante, Billy De Wolfe, & Paul Frees

If you have any kiddos in your life (even if you don’t…watch it either way!), Frosty the Snowman should be at the very top of your list. The holidays are the most magical time of the year for kids, and what’s more magical than a talking snowman…

6. Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Genre: Fantasy

Starring: Burl Ives, Eric Pospisil, & Whoopi Goldberg

Watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer during the holidays is hands down the closest we’ve come as a society to time travel. Watching it just takes us back to when we were kids and the holidays felt so magical. We recommend putting this movie on while you bake some holiday treats for a relaxing evening.

7. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Genre: Fantasy/Musical

Starring: Chris Sarandon & Catherine O’Hara

We all know and love Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas! It’s the perfect mix of the two best holidays. What more could we ask for?!

8. A Christmas Carol

Genre: Fantasy/Family

Starring: Jim Carrey, Gary Oldman, Colin Firth

Embark on an adventure with Ebenezer Scrooge, visiting Christmas past, present, and future. If you’re unfamiliar with A Christmas Carol, it is a tale about an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, who takes him on a journey to his past, present, and future, with hopes of making him a kinder and gentler man. This one definitely tugs on our heartstrings.

9. Frozen

Genre: Musical/Family

Starring: Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, & Josh Gad

Get excited because Frozen 1 and 2 are on Sling TV! If you haven’t seen Frozen, what are you waiting for? Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are charming as ever and will absolutely take your breath away through beautiful song and their sisterly bond. Oh, and who can forget about our favorite snowman, Olaf?!
