Where To Go Wine Tasting in Los Angeles

Summer is finally here, which means warmer weather and lots of girls trips! What better way to spend the day than checking out one of the many great wine events and locally wineries too. Or maybe you just want to plan a cute date night! Fortunately, you barely have to leave the beautiful city of angels to find what you’re looking for. From hot air balloon wine events to wine safaris, here’s where you can go wine tasting in Los Angeles!

La Zoo Wine Dinner Series

May 30th & June 27th

Environmentally friendly wineries and sustainable 5 course farm-to-table meals are what you’ll get at The LA Zoo Wine Dinner Series. Each night dinner and wine is served at a different location at the zoo, like the Cambodia viewing area of Elephants one night and the terraces of Mahale Mountains another. You are up close to the animals, even if they might be sleeping, while you enjoy some of the best and most sustainable wines. Tickets to this wine-tastic adventure are available for purchase here.

Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival

May 31st – June 2nd

Hot air balloon flights, food and of course wine tasting are all one big happy family at the Temecula Balloon Wine Festival. This marks it’s 36th year and offers a wide selection of wines from the local Temecula Valley wineries and even others in SoCal. You can find more info here.

Temecula Valley

Don’t worry! If you can’t make the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival, there are over 30 amazing wineries that are just waiting to be explored out in Temecula. You can check out Lumiere Winery, Falkner Winery, Cougar Winery or any of the other amazing wineries of the Temecula Valley. Makes for the perfect weekend wine trip since it’s only a 2 hour drive south of LA.

Malibu Wine Safari

Malibu Wine Safaris might just be one of the coolest ways in SoCal to experience wine. This is the perfect place to “get your wine on in the wild,” as their website states. You take an open-air Safari vehicle around the 1000 acre Saddlerock Ranch where you’ll get to see zebras, camels, and even Stanley the Giraffe, all while tasting local wines! Just being a 30 minute drive from LA, makes this an easy and pleasing wine adventure.

Blending Lab Winery

Ever dream of mixing your own wine to create something uniquely you? Consider this your dream come true because The Blending Lab allows you to blend your own custom wine! This off-winery tasting room is located right in LA, between the Original Farmers Market and The Grove. There are so many places to sit and sip wine, but not many where you can blend the science and art in creating wine yourself. Perfect place for a date night!

Wine tasting is one of the most fun and relaxing things to do on a date or with friends and you don’t have to be a pro. The only thing you DO have to do is smell, sip and take a drink!
