All About LA Guide to LA Lifestyle New to LA Summer in LA

7 Hotspots to To Find a Date in LA

There’s no argument here…Los Angeles is one of the most busiest cities in the world. We’ve got concerts, film premieres, and parties fill anyones calendar! Trust us, it’s a GREAT thing to have, even when it comes to the dating scene. Yup, us Angelenos are finding so many new & innovative ways to date in LA. But I know what you’re thinking – HOW? True,  it’s a little ambitious considering our generation’s new rules and trends to romance. But this non-traditional dating scene calls for some non-traditional approaches. We’ve been all over the city to search out the best venues, experiences, top hotspots and more to figure out where someone can find a date in LA. I think our answers may surprise you...so get ready to take some notes babes!

Music Events

We are obsessed with the music scene of this city! Our concerts are plentiful, and we even have a wide range of seasonal music festivals that offer fans a chance to listen to their favorite artists. There’s nothing like meeting someone who has the same music taste as you. These events can range from local venues such as The Wiltern and The Hollywood Palladium to stadiums like The Kia Forum, YouTube Theater and Sofi. Or if you’re someone more obsessed with music than the actual artist you can enjoy local spaces that offer free jazz like the LACMAs Friday Night series or even a Vinyl and Wine night at the Slow Jamz Gallery. The options are endless but, we’re positive this space will be the soundtrack of your love story.

Networking Events

In the competitive professional world of LA, finding a date who understands your ambitions can be tough and tends to be the downfall of many people’s relationships. However, networking events are a perfect way to find a date in LA. We like TechLA and LA’s Creative Mixer which gives an ideal setting to meet someone in a similar field. Dating within your field means conversations are naturally geared towards shared experiences, offering valuable advice, and elevating one another’s careers. Imagine finding someone who not only gets your professional challenges but also supports your growth. Consider that a win!  These events offer a unique blend of professional and personal connection, making them perfect for meeting a partner who complements your career-driven lifestyle.

Coffee Shops

A coffee shop connection is a tale as old as time. Many in Los Angeles often spend their days in these cozy spots, writing scripts, meeting with team members, and doubling as actors and baristas. If you have a taste of creative flair, cafes can be the perfect place to find your intellectual and innovative counterpart. What can start as a casual chat over coffee can quickly turn into a full-fledged relationship built on shared passions and meaningful conversations. Silver Lake’s Intelligentsia and West Hollywood’s Alfred’s Coffee are always packed with this type. Koreatown’s Coffee MCO and West LA’s Motoring Coffee brings in those looking to finish some work while connecting with like-minded individuals. Check out all of our favorite LA coffee shops here.

Dating Apps ONLY for LA

LA specific dating apps like Zoosk and Boo are fantastic tools for finding a date in LA. These apps capture the local essence of Los Angeles, making online dating feel more authentic and less daunting. By connecting with people who share your love for LA, you can find someone with whom you can explore the city’s unique spots and experiences. You can also stick to the classics like Bumble or Raya.

The Gym

It’s another tale as old as time, but it’s possible to meet someone while sweating it out. As of late, fitness studios in the city have solved the age old problem: finding ways to make the gym fun. With platforms like Class Pass to help you diversify your workouts,  it leaves you with plenty of locations to stop by, get fit and meet some pretty cool people. Luckily, we live in Los Angeles, where wellness and fitness are priorities in the everyday person’s lifestyle. Studios such as Camp and Rumble offer group classes in perfect locations to grab a salad and smoothie after your workout. While John Reed keeps the fun in-house with team exercises and DJs.

Hiking,Walking & Run Clubs

This summer, the hot girls and guys are outside! As you may have noticed, there’s been a sudden rise of Walking/Running Clubs. In short, these clubs provide a safe space where groups can go on hikes and walks throughout various areas of the city. The gym is great but this setting invites folks to connect outside of the four walls, with the potential of falling in love with connection and the community. Helmed by the LA Times, as the perfect place to “make friends and find romance,” hiking clubs are offering ways for singles to mingle in mother nature. Some of our favorite groups are Koreatown Run Club, Walk Good LA and Newport Run Club

Art Galleries and Museums

Navigating the vibrant LA dating scene, art galleries and museums might be the hidden gems you’ve been overlooking to find a date in LA. Picture this: you’re dressed to impress, strolling through The Broad or a sleek Downtown gallery. While admiring a piece, a stranger walks up to you and an hour later you are both having thought provoking conversations and debates about Banksy, Basquiat or even “what truly ended the dinosaurs.” The best part is many openings even offer free champagne and cocktails, adding a festive touch to your evening.
