1. Sogno Toscano

Address: 1512 Montana Avenue, Santa Monica, California 90403

If you’ve ever dreamed of going to Italy, Sogno Toscano in Santa Monica is a close second. This place is already a hit in New York so let us tell you all about the spot in LA. This lovely café and wine bar offers an authentic Tuscany style ambiance with music on the patio, a full Italian market inside, espresso offerings, and they also offer wine guided tastings and parings on Wednesdays. We came in right before sunset and sat down on the patio for a casual and luxe wine and charcuterie paring. Our happy hour kicked off with the Salumi and Formaggi experience that included artisan meats, cheeses ( the truffle cheese was the best), olives and Italian crackers which paired very well with the bubbly red wine we ordered, the Lambrusco Reggiano, an authentic table wine. The menu also includes pizzas, artisan sandwiches, savory soups, and crisp fresh salads. If you want something on the sweeter side, order the Tiramisu. It’s traditional, classic and one of the best we’ve tasted in all of LA. Sogno Toscano is open for breakfast too and have egg dishes plus pastries, like croissants and gluten free banana bread for under $10. We couldn’t think of a more  perfect go to place any day of the week.

2. Rden Bar & Restaurant

Address: 6280 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028

Chic, sophisticated, and oh so classy!  Rden Bar & Restaurant just upped the class factor on Hollywood Blvd and will give you those classic vibes from Hollywood’s yesteryear. The restaurant is located at the historic Taft Building which was built in 1923 and has a beautiful and sophisticated setting. There  is an upstairs view of Hollywood Blvd and a lovely patio to drink and eat while overlooking Tinsletown. This is a great spot to hang out with friends or catch up with co-workers. The menu has a variety of snacks and entrées that include appetizers like the Crispy Rice Crackers and Spicy Hummus & Lavash Chips. For your main course, you will also find salads and entrees like thee Seafood Pasta (yum!) and the signature Rden Burger. Both are delicious and satisfying. As far as cocktails go, there is a decadent Hollywood Colada which has SelvaRey Rum, Falernum, Pineapple, and Coconut. We’ll be running back to this place for sure!

3. Nerano

Address: 9960 South Santa Monica Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212

Tucked away in a hidden corridor of Beverly Hills, Nerano offers a refreshing take on Italian cuisine. The casual but swanky space is downstairs  from Lou’Mar, and not only features a full espresso bar but offers traditional Italian meals including the recommended spinach and ricotta pasta. Our Editor in Chief, Erika De La Cruz had a taste of this stylish new place and kicked off her meal with the shaved yellow beet salad with goat cheese and said “this is by far the best beat salad in LA!” She indulged in the Linguine alla Nerano which is a sautéed Italian zucchini, squash blossom, provolone, and basil pasta. Then for dessert, she tried the Nocciolino. A Guanaja dark chocolate mousse. with crunchy hazelnut, gelato Gianduja, and torched Italian meringue. It is the signature chef’s creation! Nerano is a traditional, no fuss, good food type of place which makes it a perfect hotspot for any night of the week.
