With summer just around the corner, we’re all about building out a new seasonal wardrobe filled with the coolest “it-girl” trends and some designer finds. Our Editor-in-Chief, Erika De La Cruz, was able to be our shopping style inspo for the day at the Marshalls Good Stuff Social Event in West Hollywood. The off price retailer put together a group of “fashionistas” and debuted their first ever seasonal catalog – The Edit by Marshalls – that showcases real time trend reporting and forecasting straight from the buyers. Summer fits are looking real bright and very luxe right about now. Yup, Erika found some amazing pieces at the right prices, we can’t wait to hear which are your favorite.
WHO:
The Good Stuff Social was hosted by Keltie Knight who led a powerhouse panel lineup of strong woman. Aimee Song, Vivian Tu and Karen Blanchard, along with Keltie, spoke about the brand’s unveiling of The Edit by Marshalls. The report showcased the process of Marshalls buyers and also gave guests a peek into the top five summer style trends. Erika walked the super cool blue carpet in a Theory blazer, Alice & Olivia pants, Kristen Ess headband, and a Furla clutch then walked into a room that had dresses, bags, shoes, beauty items, and more that were giving off major summer style vibes.
WHAT:
Talk about a shopper’s dream? The space was transformed into a luxe shopping store front with beautiful shelves of accessories and racks full of stunning pieces. Erika was able to find (and walked away) with an Off-White shoulder bag. She was surprised to see Marshalls offer so much name brand and luxury items in store. After shopping, and the night’s panel, guests were treated to a private culinary dinner and drinks experience. Yum!
WHY:
The release of The Edit by Marshalls gives a beautiful look inside of the Marshalls buying process and how Marshalls is bringing high-quality fashion, beauty, home, and lifestyle pieces to their shoppers at affordable prices. We know you’re dying to hear about those trends we mentioned too. First up, a live out loud state of mind. Think bright, bold and vibrant statement pieces. Opposites that attract pieces will get you into the mood of merging styles like structured skirts with cinched waist tops. Patterns like micro florals will be huge. Vacation vibes that give maximum style with minimum effort are always a sure thing for summer. Finally, for the home try an outdoor oasis look with calm neutrals. There you have it, we just couldn’t leave you out of the loop on the hottest summer styles.
