RVIVL

Address: 12746 W Jefferson Blvd Suite, Playa Vista

RVIVL is a fitness recovery studio located in the heart of Playa Vista offering two different cold plunge experiences. The space is so chic ( think Kim K concrete beige style vibes), with showers, towels and Aesop soaps available for a pre and post plunge.  You can book an individual ice bath in their Morozko Forge, the coldest ice bath on the market. This session includes guided breathwork with one of their trained staff members. The forge helps your body bring down inflammation, recover faster from exercise, burn fat, and produce a calm centered mental state. Or, you can also book a Contrast Therapy session (Infrared Sauna + Cold Plunge) in a large private suite. Going back and forth between the two modalities has been shown to help circulation, recover from soft tissue injuries, expedite recovery after workouts, and reduce stress by increasing dopamine levels. During this 60 minute session, you’ll spend time in the infrared sauna and then go directly into a cold plunge. BTW you can bring your boo or bae with you, they allow a plus one to join the session.

LIV

Address: 7918 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood

Walking into LIV,  a female founded gorgeous wellness spot, clients can look forward to a tranquil and soothing retreat. Each client has access to their own dedicated Infrared Sauna room. Choose between a solo Infrared Sauna or a duo Infrared Sauna (ideal for couples and friends seeking a shared rejuvenation experience). After a dedicated 45-minute sauna session, pop on over to their specialized cold plunge room. The rooms have a shower, stepping mats, towels, and everything needed for pre-plunge preparation and post-plunge care. LIV also has an exciting new addition. Guests have the choice to add a Salt Therapy experience to their sauna. Halotherapy, or Salt Therapy, involves breathing in air with tiny salt particles to improve breathing. If it’s your first time as a cold plunger, don’t worry. LIV provides instructions inside each room, and their friendly hosts are always available to assist you.

Den Mother

Address: 1209 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice Beach

Conceived and envisioned by master healer Elisa Angelone (MAOM, L.Ac.), entrepreneur Kenny Parmelee and hospitality and design veteran Heather Tierney (The Butcher’s Daughter, Wanderlust), Den Mother exists to offer a “wiser form of wellness,” with treatments derived from ancient healing practices from around the world: Japanese acupuncture, Ayurvedic bodywork, Chinese herbology and reflexology, functional medicine, natural beauty rituals, clinical nutrition, neuromuscular testing and Nordic bathing. Ritual and ceremony are central to Den Mother’s methods, with the healing benefits of botanicals being infused in every experience. This healing haven’s cold plunge is offered in a private garden space for up to two people at a time. It is often paired with their cedar sauna to aid in detoxification and deep relaxation, as the contrast of the heat with the cold plunge further enhances circulation and mind-body connection.
