Trader Joe’s has always been our ultimate go-to for anything festive in food & for the best wines to bring home to the roomie (helps too that their wines are über affordable). 2024 has just begun but its become a very good year for Trader Joe’s fans. They just released a new list of brand new wines on the shelf and trust us they are flying off the shelf. We are so excited to take you on a worldwide trip around the last aisle of Trader Joe’s and give you the scoop on the best released ones categorized from reds to whites. Here’s a list of the 7 best wines on Trader Joe’s updated wine list.
1. Trading Post Cabernet Sauvignon of Napa Valley 2022
As one of Trader Joe’s missions to deliver the most delicious products, they recently partnered with a trusted winery to make the Trading Post. We’re ecstatic that this popular wine comes from a place cloes to home– the Napa Valley! This particular wine focuses on Napa’s known complex aromas and profile of black cherry, vanilla, and tobacco with hints of ripe fruit and toasty oak. We would pair this wine with a dinner with friends or cuddled up with a glass for a relaxing evening at home.
Maison Barboulot Cabernet Syrah
Let’s travel to southern France for this beautiful Maison Barboulot Cabernet-Syrah. Trader Joe’s claims this to be their most hidden gem for reds and you really can’t beat the price. This wine is on the sweeter side with notes of cherry and vanilla. We would totally serve this wine with a beautiful French-styled Charcuterie board filled with meats and french cheeses.
Charles Shaw Merlot
Trader Joe’s believes in affordable, but good wine. This fruity merlot with notes of berries and vanilla spice is perfect for anyone ballin’ on a budget. TJ is planning on keeping Charles Shaw for a while, so there’s time to fit this wine into your rotation. This popular wine pairs perfectly with a red sauce pasta dinner.
Ratified & Repealed California Red Wine
Here we have another California-based wine. This full-bodied wine of Syrah, Petite Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon provides your taste buds with a smooth, fruity, and inviting profile with subtle hints of spice. You’ll want to enjoy each sip of this harmonious wine. This California Red pairs well with any meat centered dish or for a gossip sesh with your girlies. Plus the bottle is beautiful!
Espiral Vinho Verde
Espiral Vihno Verde is a fruity tasting wine comes from the Northern country of Portugal and has hit the TJ shelves at a great price. Trader Joe’s is bringing this luxe crispy green apple and fragrant melon tasting wine to their rotation of whites and we recommend saving this flirty wine for a romantic date night with your bae.
La Burgondie Crémant de Bourgogne
La Burgondie Crémant de Bourgogne is currently flying off the shelves, so try it before its gone! This beautifully crafted bottle of fine bubbles with hand picked Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay, and Aligote grapes blend perfectly for a mildly fruity taste. We love that this reasonably priced white wine comes from the heart of wine country…Burgundy, France.
Big Churn Chardonnay California
We’ll end our list here with this California Chardonnay. Bring home a classic and beautifully crafted oaky, buttery, and creamy Chardonnay with underlying notes of pear, apple and vanilla. This yummy white wine is perfect for an outdoor lunch filled with replenishing fruits and vegetables or for a seafood date with someone you love.
