Ok, so we know National Pizza Day was just a few days ago, but let’s be honest, everyday can be Pizza Day! This might surprise you, but here in LA, we’ve got some of the best pizza in town (some super cool and chic too). From New York style, to Neapolitan thin crust, to deep-dish Chicago style pizza, we’ve found the places to suit every pizza mood. Get ready for an elevated casual pizza experience, because here are the 7 best pizza places in Los Angeles that offer delicious and flavorful pies that will satisfy your craving.

Pizzana

Location: 460 North Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood

With 5 locations in California (Brentwood, Silverlake, Sherman Oaks, Marina Del Rey, Weho) Pizzana is a frequent stop from local pizza lovers in LA. They offer Naples style pizza with a light and easily absorbed crust. We love the ‘Spinaci’ pizza which has spinach, basil pesto, cream parmesan, and fresh mozzarella cheese (fior di latte). Need more meat? Try the ‘Carnivoro,’ which has 3 meats including pepperoni, fennel sausage, and prosciutto cotto. There are also a few vegan options and a kids cheese pizza. Pizzana also offers a selection of wines from Italian and California wine makers and a ‘Dough to Go,’ option where you can take sauce and dough home to make a pie at home for a great movie and pizza night.

L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele

Location: 1534 N Mccadden Pl Los Angeles

Since 2019,  L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele has graced the Los Angeles area with roots tracing back to Naples, Italy. Born and raised in Naples, Owner Francesco Zimone brings a piece of home with him to his restaurant along with authentic Italian flavors and a homebred Italian chef,  Michele Rubini, who cooks up delicious menu options. Get adventurous and try the ‘Montanara,’  a deep-fried pizza dough with marinara sauce, parmesan, basil, and mozzarella. Or, stay classy, with favorites like the Marghertia, or Bianca pizza (we just tasted them and they were delicious!). L’ Antica Pizzeria is the perfect place for a first date and girls night out with your besties! The vibes are sophisticated and dreamy and the epitome of a fine dining pizza restaurant in LA.  Check out their locations in Hollywood, Long Beach, Santa Barbara.

Pizzeria Mozza

Location: 641 North Highland Ave, Los Angeles

Known for its California based ingredients, Pizzeria Mozza takes pride in sustainability and locally sourced components. We love their ‘Alla Benno’ pizza which has pineapple, jalapeño, tomato and mozzarella. Another delicious pie is the ‘Fennel Sausage’ which features toppings like panna (the sausage) mozzarella, red onions and scallions.  Prices range from $24-$29 for each pizza. Fair since it took years for founder Nancy Silverton to perfect her pizza dough.

Slices

Location: 505 S Flower St, B-260, Los Angeles

Slices brings authentic Sicilian style pizza to Downtown Los Angeles and uses handmade custom ovens from Venice, Italy to craft their pizzas. They also import ingredients like their olive oil straight from Italy. You’ll find Slices pizza as a squared shaped, thick and fluffy dough that will fill you up fairly quickly. Some pizza toppings include pepperoni, Hawaiian, pesto veggie, and chicken bacon ranch.  Also on the menu are calzones, Italian sub sandwiches, and salads. Slices is a must try when in the city. Order a full pie or order by the slice (around $6) which is very convenient for on the go.

Apollonia’s Pizzeria

Location: 5176 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles

There is a reason Apollonia’s Pizzeria has 53K on IG. First off, they are one of the best places that use a Gluten Free crust for their creations. Their pizzas have a thin crust and provide different sizes in 20″, 14″ and 10″ pies. Toppings include organic veggies and a gluten free crust. You can customize any pizza and also order by the slice too. Pizzas are mostly under $25, and provide yummy and tasty flavors just right for any pizza fanatic. They’ve also got unique names for their pizzas like ‘The Mayor’s Mistress’ (a pepperoni and sausage pizza),  ‘The Dirty Agent’ with duck and bacon, and ‘Viva La Vegan” which has no dairy and no soy.

Tomato Pie Pizza Joint

Location: 2457 Hyperion Ave, Los Angeles

For lovers of New York style and deep-dish Sicilian pizza, Tomato Pie Pizza Joint is your place. The restaurant currently has 3 locations in the Silver Lake, South Pasadena, and Woodland Hills, and offers 18″ and 14″ pizzas.  The New York style options are East Coast inspired with hand tossed thin crust. Try their ‘Grandma’ pizza with crushed tomato, garlic, basil, and mozzarella cheese. Another fun option is their ‘Miss Green’ which features spinach, broccoli, artichoke, and pesto cream sauce. There are 4 18″ deep-dish options including the ‘Tomato Pie’ (marinara sauce, romano cheese, parsley and olive oil).

Chicago Stuffed Pizza Co.

Location: 7965 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles

Chicago Stuffed Pizza Co. offers both New York and deep-dish Chicago Style pizza. Popular with locals, you will find both thin and thick crust options in small, medium, large, and x-large. Prices are higher for specialty pizzas ( the deep-dish ranges from $35-$50), but every slice is worth your dollar as they bring authentic and distinctive flavors to the table. Try their ‘Spinach Stuffed Pizza’ with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
