Recently celebrating it’s 15th anniversary, The Americana at Brand located in Glendale is consistently one of The LA Girl’s favorite spots to frequent at any time of year. There’s the gorgeous water fountain and gilded gold statue, a whimsical trolley carting shoppers, and ample outdoor seating that provides comfy options to work, read a book, or catch up with friends. Inspired by the iconic Newbury Street in Boston and the eighth shopping center project opened by Rick Caruso, this vibrant hub is a stage for musical entertainment and community events ensuring there’s always something exciting in the air. As one of the 15 most-productive and highest-grossing retail centers globally, The Americana at Brand mixes sophistication with classic charm and just plain fun. We recommend going there and checking it out for yourself, but here are a few of the many places where we love to shop, eat, and play at The Americana at Brand.
Sophisticated Shopping For Every Budget
Oh boy, does The Americana at Brand spoil us with all the options to get a little retail therapy going. We love a visit to the Italian-based footwear and apparel store, Golden Goose. During our last visit, the staff taught us more about the history of the inspiration behind their street style distressed looks, how you can “co-create” your own sneaker to make it uniquely and authentically yours, and how they are embracing more sustainable options and materials to reduce their impact on the planet. FYI: you’ll find Golden Goose next to Indochino, an awesome one stop shop for suite looks, and Madewell, one of our fav casual style store.

Of course you’ll find so many mainstream department store options including Nordstrom, Sephora, H&M, Apple, and beautiful accessory and jewelry stores like David Yurman and Tiffany & Co.

A break is in order after so much shopping and nothing beats Ombra Wine Bar for a sophisticated pause. Sip on your favorite vino and bask in the European vibes and alfresco dining – it’s like a mini-vacation right here in Glendale. It’s the ideal spot for a casual catch-up with friends or a prelude to an epic night out.
If you’re feeling more in the mood for coffee, the Nordstrom eBar and the cafe at Barnes & Noble are two adorable options to power up with a latte or comforting cup of tea.

It’s time to tantalize those taste buds, and The Americana has quite an assortment of world class dining options. For a quick bite on the go, we love Deluca’s Italian Deli for their sandwiches and ready to eat pasta salads. For a more romantic dinner date idea, Trattoria Amici is the spot to savor Northern Italian fare, such as their mouth-watering Lobster Ravioli dish. For an incredibly great steakhouse and martini moment, you can’t go wrong with Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak Los Angeles. For out of town guests visiting, a fan favorite is always The Cheesecake Factory or Frida’s for delicious traditional Mexican cuisine.

Movies, Books and People Watching
Now, for the fun stuff! The Americana has some great places to play around and let loose. Everything you need for dinner and a movie is right here, with AMC at Brand18 right in the middle of it all. It’s also such a great spot just to show up with a book and a thermos of coffee and sit on the lawn and read or people watch. There are always new stores popping up and seasonal activations, so keep an eye on The Americana at Brand’s event calendar.If you find yourself smitten with The Americana and dream of living there full time, you’re in luck.
