Ever been to a waterfront festival? For two days only, Long Beach will host its own waterfront festival with musical headliners, Iggy Azalea and Natalia Jimenez. They will offer live music from DJ’s, restaurants will be open nearby for food and drinks, and sponsor activations. Some activities include a rainbow powered roller rink, drag make-up, silent disco, family fun zone, and more.

Rooftop Cinema Club DTLA All Month Long

Going to the movies is a common date night experience, but what if you can enjoy a movie with a view of LA? With your own personal headphones, cinema style seating, and a view of LA, Rooftop Cinema Club DTLA takes the ‘going to the movies’ experience to the next level. PCH Long Beach Event Series

Summer is in full swing at 2ND & PCH, Long Beach’s premier shopping center, who has announced four free event series in July. From outdoor concerts and movies to an interactive kids club and local makers market, the center is a one-stop destination for everyone to enjoy this summer.

  • Sounds of Summer: a music series that brings live musical performances from an eclectic mix of Southern California artists and genres every Tuesday (July 12th – August 30th) evening 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on the grand staircase.
  • Summertime Explorers: an interactive weekly kids club Wednesdays 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, July 13th through August 31st. The series features entertainment, storytimes, crafts and activities encouraging kids to learn and explore weekly. Explorers are invited to discover the fun, a custom weekly themed photo backdrop will be available to capture memories. 
  • PCH Movies & Moonlight: Summer Fridays: starting on July 15th featuring Disney’s Luca, followed by Disney’s Zootopia (July 22th) and Disney’s Brave (July 29th). The six-week summer series continues through August 19th with movies beginning at sunset. Pre-show entertainment will be included on select dates. Movies are complementary to the community; self-seating will be available on a first come first serve basis. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. 2ND & PCH offers an array of restaurants, retailers and specialty services within the center for the community to enjoy before, during or after the movie.
  • Creative Communal Makers Market: Shop small and local on Sunday, July 17th 11:00 am – 6:00 pm along Seaport Way. This uniquely curated open-air market features handcrafted treasures from over thirty local makers, photo ops, kids entertainment and live music from crowd favorite Ernando and the Nandos on the grand staircase stage from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

Flutter: A Multisensory Immersive Experience

If you want to escape from reality, then head on over to Flutter. Rated as America’s number one art experience where artists transform 14 rooms into spaces for guests to create, plate, imagine, and explore. These 14 rooms can include projection mapping, virtual reality, dancing, painting, and more.

Club Babalu is LA’s provocative immersive theater experience taking place at LOT 613 in the Downtown Arts District, where they promise a dazzling night of drama, mischief and nostalgia. A show-within-a-show, transporting all guests to the hit 1957 TV show Welcome To Woodvana as if they were all extras on set. With a nod to I Love Lucy, the show features glamorous old Hollywood costumes, vibrant decor, a 50s-era soundscape, comedy, dance, and exciting live performances from burlesque to aerialists to jugglers. 2022 Outfest LA LGBTQ+ Film Festival

LA Waterkeeper Plastic Free July Cleanup Challenge

If you love helping and cleaning the environment, then we have an event for you. LA Waterkeeper is hosting four LA River cleanup days to remove plastic trash from the river, and they are encouraging people to reduce their plastic consumption, by taking such steps as carrying cloth bags to the grocery store; investing in a water filter instead of buying plastic water bottles; and choosing toys and household items made of natural materials and packed in cardboard packaging or no packaging at all.
