Where to Play with Kittens in LA

Cat Cafe’s are a great idea for: Date night, Girls Day Out, Hosting Visitors, Visit-ing, Family Outings, Or R&R Time! And also great for cat lovers like me, whose hubby’s are allergic! “Okay great Erika, so where can I hang out with these cuddly kittens, get some great footage for the gram, great food AND support them getting adopted too?”

Crumbs & Whiskers

Up to 25 kittens — all previously at risk of euthanasia — will  happily frolic with their human guests in Crumbs & Whiskers’ comfy lounge at 7924 Melrose Ave.  It’s open daily from 11:00 am – 7:30 pm (closed on Wednesdays,) mask-wearing may be required.  I recently visited and was greeted by cats playing, sleeping and being cute in general.

My sister and I rescued and cleaned up a litter of kittens together last year (we even used cat ear wipes), so she was my first pick as a “plus one” to interact with these cuddly companions & spend some quality time with each other too. During our experience, there were cat toys and food available for the kittens, as well as snacks and coffee for the HUMANS to order too.

In addition to providing a wonderful experience for guests, Crumbs & Whiskers is committed to finding new homes for as many cats and kittens as possible. Together with its rescue partners in Los Angeles and D.C., Crumbs & Whiskers has saved over 3,500 cats and kittens from euthanasia since they first opened in June 2019 (L.A.)

Most kitty lounges are priced per session and range from$20 for 30 minutes to $35 for 70 minutes. See below for a list of even more places to interact with cats (and puppies too!) We definitely left with some Kitten Swag to remember the experience by!
