So whether you’re looking to be one with nature at a free yoga class, looking to get involved with a non-profit or simply recycling e-waste, here’s your chance show support for our environment. Get outdoors and celebrate with these noteworthy things to do in LA for Earth Day 2017 that will certainly make your thumb green!

Earth Day LA: April 19

Join Grand Park, LADWP and the Music Center as they celebrate the planet with an array of food trucks and vendors, tours of Grand Park’s sustainable landscaping, “The Trash Man” performance art by Taiwanese artist Chin-chih Yang. There will also be tree giveaways for LA residents. This event will start at 9am with free admission so bring the whole gang!

Earth Day & Botanic Bling: April 22-23

A weekend long celebration at Descanso Gardens features a plant sale, trunk show (nicknamed “Botanic Bling”), wildflower installation and seed packet station. There will also be a smoothie bar on both days. This event will be held on from 9am -5pm and is included with the $9 admission to the Gardens.

Earth Day in Glendale: April 15

Join in Glendale’s annual observance of Earth Day with food trucks, live entertainment, raffles, a rock climbing wall, face painting, carnival games, compost giveaway, and mattress recycling!  This event will  take place from 1pm-4pm at the Pacific Community Center & Park with free admission.

Earth Day Celebration at the Aquarium of the Pacific: April 22-23

Whether it be above land or underwater, learn how to help the planet with hands on demos and Earth friendly booths. This two day event will take place from 9pm-6pm daily and is included with the admission of $30. But if you bring an e-waste item, you will receive $10 off adult admission!

Renew: Reuse, Recycle, Restyle : April 22

Enjoy a cold, fresh brew of Angel City beer and food from Downtown Taco and Woody’s Grill while listening to jazzy tunes. Don’t forget to donate old clothing items and shop for new additions for your closet at St. Vincent de Paul of Los Angeles’ thrift store. This snazzy event will take place on 12pm- 6pm with free admission.

Wild for the Planet: April 23, 29, 30- May 19

One day not enough to honor the beautiful earth? Then join the LA Zoo’s month long celebration. Stop by for a performance of Swazzle’s Puppet Show, a “ZooLAbration” acrobatic show, conservation stations and learn about animal care. Channel your inner spirit animal from 10am- 4pm with the event included in zoo admission.

Manhattan Beach Earth Day Celebration & Concert: April 22

Spend the day at Manhattan Beach’s Polliwog Park for their annual concert and kid-friendly festival. The day’s activities will include servings of fresh food, live music, eco-quiz giveaways and booths.  It will start from 11am and go until 4pm. Ditch the parking spot and take advantage of the free bike corral!

Earth Day Marina Clean Up: April 23

Don’t you love the beach? I know I do! So volunteer for the Marina Beach Clean with The LA Girl Society in partnership with Shade Hotel Redondo Beach! This event will run from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Guests will be provided with trash bags, gloves, sunscreen, water and snacks!
