20 Things to Do for Labor Day Weekend in LA

Labor Day is here babes (can you believe we’ve reached the end of summer?), and if you’re hanging around this weekend in LA,  we found some things to do for labor day weekend. There will be a number of  exciting events and delicious food and drink deals all around the city to wrap up the summer in style. So slam shut the laptop, relax and enjoy the long holiday weekend with the besties (after all, we deserve it!), because here’s a list of  things to do for Labor Day Weekend in LA.

6. Rooftop Party at Bar Lis

If you’re looking to dance during the day, Bar Lis atop the Thompson Hollywood is the place to be. Rhonda Lis will be spinning     upbeat club sounds and the Aperol Spritz’s will be flowing as you take in a 360-degree view of the Hollywood Hills. Tickets are FREE, but book them here.

7. Long Beach Harbor Fireworks Cruise

September 1st

Location: 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach, CA 90802

Take a cruise of the Long Beach Harbor with an entire lineup of entertaining things  to do for Labor Day weekend. This cruise begins at 7pm and features aircraft flyovers, paragliding displays, a Coast Guard Dolphin Search and Rescue demonstration, and live music with a special DJ. The festivities culminate with a spectacular 30-minute fireworks display at 8:30 PM, illuminating the skies over Alamitos Bay, Naples, and the Peninsula.  Tickets are $75 per a person.

8. Pep Rally with USC Marshalls Band Celebrating Kickoff

August 31st

Location: Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool, 4321 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103

So this might not be in LA, but it’s the perfect excuse to take a day trip to Vegas and celebrate LA’s most treasured college bands – the USC Marshalls. 9. The Godfrey Hotel Pool Party

September 1st

10. Rooftop Cinema Club

11. Hollywood Bowl Performances

August 30th – September 1st

Location: 2301 N. Highland Ave., Los Angeles 90068

Hang out at the Hollywood Bowl this Labor Day weekend in LA as Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil bring the Marvel Studios Infinity Saga to life through music. Then, on September 1, don’t miss mega-selling band Toto making their Hollywood Bowl debut. Each night ends with a spectacular fireworks display.

12. Space Yacht Pool Party

13.  60 Years of Star Trek Screening

August 30th – September 1st

This Labor Day weekend, the Fine Arts Theater Beverly Hills is celebrating 60 years of Star Trek with a special screening of all six original films in Super 70mm. The event features a series introduction by Ralph Winter and guest appearances from Star Trek stars including Adam Nimoy, Nicholas Meyer, Ralph Winter, Robin Curtis, Catherine Hicks, Charles-Steven Jaffe, and Cliff Eidelman. There will also be a book signing on Saturday with Adam Nimoy and Nicholas Meyer for their latest release.

4. Barnsdell Wine Tasting

The Barnsdall Fridays Wine Tasting series closes out its 15th season on Labor Day weekend.
