We are so lucky to live in fabulous Los Angeles, where we can go to the farmers’ market all year round and get fresh, organic products while supporting small businesses and local farms. After personally exploring all of these lovely farmers’ markets around the Los Angeles neighborhoods, we wanted to share them with you, so you could explore them too! Have fun, and be sure to let us know which one is your personal favorite!
Melrose Place Farmers Market
The Melrose Place Farmers Market is an absolute favorite of ours! Every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, small businesses and local farms gather together and create this market that provides us with tons of local goodies. You can find an abundance of fresh produce, homemade goods, and stunning flowers at this farmers market. It is also a market that many small businesses come to, where you can find Jewelry, candles, clothing, and other home goods. Yeasty Boys Bagels and Alfred Coffee are also located on Melrose Place, so be sure to stop by for coffee and a bagel after your morning of shopping.
Downtown Santa Monica Farmers Market
Open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Santa Monica’s farmers market is spread out over 4 blocks, filled with local farmers and small businesses. This market has been around since 1981 and is definitely a local’s favorite. Conveniently located in the heart of Santa Monica and steps away from the beach, this is also the perfect spot to spend the day and explore the beautiful city.
North Hollywood Farmers Market
Noho Farmers Market is one of those markets that give you a sweet, small-town feel and vibe. With dozens of local stands serving up fresh produce, nuts, bread, and delicious ethnic food, no wonder it is such a likable spot. This farmers market also has a food court, weekly live entertainment, and clothing and craft vendors. Many vendors here operate small family farms and businesses, so make sure to support local businesses and check this one out! It’s open on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, so start your weekend off right by stopping by.
Larchmont Village Farmers Market
Larchmont Village is the cutest neighborhood with plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes. On Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Larchmont Village Farmers Market is open and always draws a crowd (for obvious reasons!). Though it is on the smaller side, it is filled with delicious produce, fresh pastries, seafood, cheese, and much more. This is our go-to spot if we are looking to make a day out of it. Stop by the farmers market, head out to grad lunch (and ice cream at Salt & Straw, duh!) and do a little shopping on your next free Wednesday.
Silverlake Farmers Market
Last but not least is the Silverlake Farmers Market! Open Tuesday 1:30 – 7 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM, this market is another one that has that homey, quaint vibe that we all love so much. With a delicious selection of fresh goods and local produce, to homegrown fresh herbs and homemade crafts, make sure to stop by the next time you’re in the neighborhood. Open year round and changing vendors seasonally.
