1. Mercari on Melrose
Location: 7613 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles, CA
Ok, so Mercari isn’t technically a consignment shop, but we had to include this innovative slash very cool online space to store that just opened up their first brick and mortar on the West Coast. Mercari on Melrose is a full service, full space shopping hub for anyone wanting to off load their luxe goods you don’t want anymore. The space also hosts DIY classes and events dedicated to the art of upcycling, plus it serves as a partner pop-up area with items hand-picked by influencers or will host influencer closets like Emma Rogue or Curated By Us.This doesn’t work like consignment shops, basically you take your clothes to the store, snap photos of them in the store (yup, they have an entire setup to do this), then post on your Mercari account and your done. You don’t have to keep the clothes as the store will keep them for you and show them off to the cool Melrose shopping scene. Seriously this makes it so easy to create attractive and professional-looking listings, and Mercari’s fulfillment service helps package and ship items sold in-store straight to the buyer. Plus they have a 0% sellers fee which means you don’t have to put money upfront. We just went in to take a look at the store, shop the items ( so many designer type items too), and figure out the process which is super easy. Check out our photos below.
