The 5 Best Westwood Restaurants Near UCLA

Westwood is one of our favorite places to hang out in LA. It has all the charm of a small town, without losing the city’s feel. And because it’s home to UCLA, there are plenty of incredible restaurants and shops within walking distance of one another. Whether you’re a university student, visiting the campus with parents,  or exploring the best food in Westwood with friends, we recommend you check out the 5 Best Westwood restaurants near UCLA.

1. Violet L.A.

Violet L.A.’s chic vibes and delicious food bring a little bit of France to Westwood! Their IG alone will make your mouth water. This Westwood restaurant has authentic French dishes, like Duck Leg Confit. Enjoy a glass of wine from their impressive selection. If you want to bring some of Violet L.A.’s taste into your own home, sign up for one of their cooking classes. Learn how to bake yummy artisanal bread and pastries, or savory meals like steak, Coq au Vin, and more. It’s a fun date night, or night out with the girls.

Broxton Brewery & Public House is a beer lover’s haven in the heart of Westwood. They serve up classic menu items like sandwiches, soups, and burgers. They also have delicious brunch offerings, like Avocado Toast, Chilaquiles, and Shakshuka. Don’t forget to try one of its signature brews on tap. 4. The Tuck Room

Location: 10840 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles

The Tuck Room describes itself as “a modern-day speakeasy and dining destination.” If that’s not already enough to pull you in, their swanky atmosphere and tasty small plates will! We’re obsessed with their handcrafted cocktails. Try a classic Espresso Martini, or go for something different like their Fig and Walnut Old Fashioned. And, if you’re staying away from alcohol, they’ve also got a refreshing mocktail selection. Great place if you’re looking to shake things up from your usual Westwood restaurants.
