Can’t decide where to eat? Smorgasburg LA has you covered! The largest weekly open-air food market in the country is now in LA. Located at 777 S Alameda St. Los Angeles, AKA The Row in DTLA, the market is open from 10 am to 4 pm every Sunday. After you grab a bite, be sure to check out their famous shops, art exhibits, and more! Out of the 100 vendors, here are some of our faves!
Broad Street Oyster Co.
We go to bed dreaming of Broad Street Oyster‘s acclaimed lobster roll. Not kidding. As much as we love their food, their Malibu location is always a mission and has to be its own day trip. Lucky for you, Broad Street Oyster C0. has a regular stand at Smorgasburg. The lobster roll is warm, buttery, and bursting with flavor, the caviar and chips is decadent and crispy, and the oysters are fresh and savory. Truly, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
Taste of the Pacific
Taste of the Pacific is guaranteed to satisfy your tastebuds with their genuine Filipino cuisine. Owner Jeff Mejia takes quality to a whole new level, never taking shortcuts and using the highest quality ingredients. Each lumpia and skewer is handcrafted one at a time. Their signature barbecue sauce recipe is a family secret that can’t be found at any other restaurant. If you’re looking for food cooked with love and culture, Taste of the Pacific is your next must-try spot!

Champignon Eats
The vegan restaurant transforming carnivores into herbivores, Champignon Eats, is now available at Smorgasborg! The reason their plant based meat tastes so authentic is because their mission is to “make believers out of meat eaters.” Another item that sets their menu apart from most vegan menus is their use of mushrooms as a meat substitute. Their “Champ Classic” burger features a crispy enoki patty topped with house aioli, lettuce, and pickles on a toasty bun. Another fan favorite is the champ cheese fries which are generously loaded with homemade vegan cheese, enoki bits, jalapeno, and grilled onion. A guaranteed must for vegans and their carnivore friends!
Queen Squeeze Lemonade
After strolling through the 100 vendors, you’ll want a nice cold drink. Queen Squeeze Lemonade has got you covered with organic, eco-friendly, fresh-squeezed drinks! Founder Ebony Staton states that she founded this business after being sick of the fake flavor of store-bought and bottled lemonades and decided to perfect the classic lemonade stand-style beverage. Queen Squeeze is perfect for kids and adults with a wide menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Their most versatile is their Classic Queen Lemonade, but if you’re feeling adventurous you can try their Watermelon Warrior, Blackberry Love, or Peach Kingdom!
HGG Tanghulu
You’ve seen the viral mukbangs and TikToks of these gorgeous candied strawberries. Now you can experience the magic yourself! HGG Tanghulu features a wide array of Chinese candied fruit. Grab candied strawberries if you want to go classic, green grape if you’re craving something more sour, mandarin oranges if you want something sweet, or Chinese Hawthorn if you’re looking to try something new!

Selma’s Sweet Bagels
We’ve reviewed A LOT of bagels and dare we say we might have found our favorite. Selma’s Sweet Bagels has become a new DTLA staple for us. Their mission is to “bring Sunday joy to your table each Sunday morning” and oh have they succeeded. What sets them apart from other bagel shops is their signature house-made cream cheese which is handmade through a 72-hour process. In addition to their fastidious cream cheese, their bagel dough is hand-rolled, broiled, and baked every Sunday. We’re getting hungry even thinking about Selma’s.
Mumu Bakery Cafe
Looking for the perfect aesthetic food pic to add to your LA carousel post? Mumu Bakery has the cutest takeout we have ever seen! Their drinks are placed in clear fluorescent cartons and their baked goods are beautifully crafted. Their tayakis, fish-shaped bread stuffed with a variety of fillings, are cute, decadent, and perfect for those IG photos. While their aesthetic and packaging is unmatched, they aren’t skimping on flavor and quality. You have a myriad of flavors to choose from such as cream cheese, Nutella, red bean, sweet rice cake, pizza, cheese, and more! To accompany their tayaki, you’ll need to try their fan-favorite strawberry milk, freshly made and delightfully sweet. If you’re looking for the perfect photo op and sweet treat, Mumu Bakery is your next must-try!

Donut Friend
We might have just found the best vegan pastry shop in LA. Donut Friend exceeded all expectations possible. The chef recommended we try the customer favorite, the strawberrylab donut. We genuinely could not believe it was vegan! Unlike most vegan pastries where there is something you have to ignore about the texture, flavor, etc. to salvage it, there was not a hint of substitution detected in this lovely donut. The donut was light, airy, and coated in a delicious sugary glaze. The strawberries were perfectly refreshing. We are genuinely upset we have to wait another week before sprinting back to the Donut Friend.
