Ok so Coachella had some really hot music and artists come to the stage (yeah, we’re still reeling from Bad Bunny’s set), but some of the best music was also heard from Nylon Magazine’s Nylon House Presented by Samsung Galaxy. Celebrity DJ’s like Alesso, Carlita, and Diplo were putting everyone, including Young Hollywood’s Yara Shahidi, Jaden Smith & Bella Thorne in the EDM mood. Guests danced and were dazzled with the pre-Coachella energy felt here.No need to feel the FOMO, because we’re about to breakdown our immersive pop culture extravaganza from one of the best pre-party places in the desert.
Who knew our trip to the desert was going to turn into a trip to a galaxy far far away. Total pun there, but the mood over at Nylon House felt very out of this world. Neon laser lights welcomed us at the entryway, illuminating the dark desert sky well enough for some photo ops at their high fashion activations. Drinks were flowing from Patrón and the music was pumping too.
Walking in we encountered a first of its kind activation put on by the new Samsung Galaxy S23. It was grabbing everyone’s attention (even Jaden Smith’s)! The smartphone’s camera was facing us, projected our team entrance onto the big screens and made us feel like stars of our own show. In fact the art installation was called The Star.

Next up we go up close and personal with a couple of fun brands in pop up domes that were scattered all over the property. We hit up the Got2b dome and inside there was a circle of vanity mirrors waiting for guests to sit down and get some colorful extensions added to their locks. Cheetos put up a tent decked out in their Hot Cheetos fiery red signature color with hands popping out of the walls offering Hot Cheetos. Lifesize Cheetos, the size of small children, dangled from the ceiling as we entered. Next, we walked into SheGlam’s dome which had a multi colored disco floor and a carousel of their latest products out for the taking . Our Editor-in-Chief Erika De La Cruz was able to get her blush retouched before hitting the dance floor and the entire team left with packed goodie bags for the rest of the weekend.
