The author – Gay Hendricks – teaches certain techniques on how one can release those internal fears and gain the freedom to conquer any boundaries in front of those goals. This book will help understand manifestation on a deeper level. When we manifest things, we are declaring something out for the universe to hear to bring it back to us. But there has to be an active shift in your mind set in order to get manifesting . You Are The Placebo helps understand how we can use the power of our mind over our physical body to help create change. If the mind can do this to the body, then the mind is that powerful to bring us something we truly want.
Who doesn’t love words of wisdom from Oprah? What I Know for Sureis one Erika’s favorites and one of the best personal development books for women. Oprah has always been that person to champion for the life you want and in this book you will get nuggets of inspiration and revelations that will push you to grab on to the life you’ve dreamed of. The book is beautiful and chic and offers a beautiful guide to becoming your best self. It will for sure give you that “aha moment.” Oprah also prefaced another amazing book that called The Seat of the Soul. It encourages you to become the authority in your own life. It will change the way you see the world, interact with other people, and understand your own actions and motivations.
Sometimes a fun fiction book to escape reality is the best medicine. As much as Erika loves learning from her monthly reads, she also loves to have fun with a little bit of fantasy. The Axis Trilogy, starting with the first book, Battleaxe, is a series from Australian author Sara Douglass. Erika was introduced to the series by her hubby (also an Aussie) and has devoured each book in the trilogy. It’s a fantasy novel about a land divided between two tribes with a hero who is on a journey of self discovery and is willing to try and unify the land. Yup there’s monsters in here too. Basically, if you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, you’ll enjoy this series.
