I’m so grateful to have met Liz Hernandez at a mutual friend’s event that we were both speaking at earlier this year. I had heard of her before and seen her on TV, but I didn’t know how much we’d hit it off and that we’d become friends. Ever since that event, we’ve hung out and talked about our businesses and I was so honored to be able to interview her on-camera for FocusTV.
Originally from the Inland Empire, Liz moved to LA for her entertainment career after attending the University of San Diego. She was a radio host on Power 106 before her move into TV when she got the call from MTV. She was a host on E! News before she joined Access Hollywood in 2014. She’s also appeared in various TV shows and advertising campaigns.
Here’s her advice for other LA Girls who want to get into the industry:
- Contact the company that you want to get in to
- Have a reel to show your best work
- You have to live it and be passionate about it
After leaving Access Hollywood, Liz recently started her own company, Wordaful, with the message that “words are powerful.” She posts videos on the Wordaful channel and hosts live events.
I attended her first Wordaful event and felt such great energy in the room. Her lessons were drawn from other great teachers like Marianne Williamson, Paulo Coelho and more. She made it a point to meet and greet each attendee and shared meaningful life lessons on thoughts, intention, and manifestation.
Watch the interview to hear more about Liz Hernandez including her journey from starting out in radio and moving into TV, how she keeps it authentic on Instagram, and how connection is the most important thing.
Here’s your chance to attend Liz Hernandez’s WORDAFUL:LIVE event on 11/18 from 7-9pm. Join The LA Girl Society for a chance to win a ticket or get your tickets now!
