Everything You Need to Know about Super Bowl 2023

4 days and counting until the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles battle it out on the field for Super Bowl LVII. Millions of people across the world are planning to tune in or, perhaps physically be there in the stands, to watch the biggest NFL game of the year. Here’s just a few things we love about the Super Bowl: 1) the drama and excitement unfolding onto the field with every pass 2) it’s literally one big “Happy Hour” social setting 3) the Halftime Show (Psst… Rihanna is performing) & 4) the commercials. By the way, the cost for a 30 second commercial spot during the game went between $6-7 MILLION! Yup, even if you’re not into football there are plenty of reasons to watch the Super Bowl and we’re passing on our ultimate guide to the biggest game of the year.

How to Watch Super Bowl LVII?

The Super Bowl  airs Sunday February 12th @ 3:30pm PST. You can watch live on FOX, which is also available through Sling, in select markets. Lucky for us, LA is one of their markets that have full FOX programming coverage. So sign up now to make sure your Super Bowl viewing party is ready to go. Plus Sling is offering half off your first month and if you sign up for Sling Blue you’ll not only be able to watch the biggest game of the year at home or on your favorite device, but you also get access to other big name sporting events like NASCAR on Fox/FS1 or NBA on TNT.

Who Will Play in the Super Bowl LVII?

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are the NFL teams playing in Super Bowl 57. This is pretty cool too. It’s the first time in Super Bowl history to feature two Black starting QB’s aka Quarterback’s. The Chiefs are led by 27 year old Patrick Mahomes who is playing in his 3rd Super Bowl this year and hopes to bring a 3rd Super Bowl title back to K.C. The Eagles will be led by 24 year old Jalen Hurts who is making his first Super Bowl appearance. He’s hoping to score a 2nd title for his Philly team.

Where is Super Bowl LVII?

The Super Bowl LVII will be held in Glendale, Arizona at the $455 million dollar State Farm Stadium. It can house 73,000 people and this is the 3rd time the Super Bowl has been hosted there.

Who is Performing at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show?

Rihanna. Need we say more? This BILLION dollar boss lady is planning to bring her ultimate A-game to the Halftime show sponsored by Apple Music. In the last couple of weeks, she’s dropped a few hints about the 12 minute show that will include some of her chart toppers like “Umbrella” and “Diamonds.” Yeah, don’t be surprised if your watch party turns into a dance party, we know we’ll be dropping the chips and dips to “work, work, work work.” Fans will also be glued to their screens to listen for any hint of new music, but here’s what we know for sure.  Rihanna has said this is not the time for new music, but a chance to “incorporate a lot of culture” and “celebrate the music that I’ve made.” We. Can’t. Wait.

Best Commercials during Super Bowl LVII?

Hollywood is all over this year’s highly anticipated, comedic yet creative commercials for Super Bowl 57. But here are the one’s will definitely be looking out for. Succession fans you’ll love this! Brian Cox and tennis superstar Serena Williams get into a heated game of golf ala Caddyshack. Adam Driver gets multiplied for Squarespace. Meghan Trainor’s #1 TikTok song “Made You Look” will be featured in a Pringles ad. Top Gun: Maverick star Miles Teller gets his Risky Business groove on for Bud Light. But here’s our favorite: Alicia Silverstone returns as Cher Horowitz from the 90’s hit Clueless in Rakuten’s commercial that is sort of like a cast mini reunion. As if!
