Every LA girl should visit Disneyland at least once in their life! If Disney movies aren’t your thing, you can experience the thrills of the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride or try some of Disneyland’s famous foods. Learn how to take on Disney like a pro with these Disneyland hacks!
Use your local discount
Take advantage of the SoCal Resident offer when you purchase your tickets before May 21, 2018. These are valid for 2-day and 3-day passes only. The 2-day passes are $159/person instead of $199/person so you’re saving at least $40! If you buy the 3-day pass, you’ll get one Magic Morning where you can access the park one hour before the general public does!
Get the MaxPass
Yes, it’s totally worth it! For $30 per person, you’ll be able to get Fastpasses through the Disneyland app! You’ll have the option to add this to your order when buying tickets online. You’ll be able to see wait times at each ride so you can map out your plan of attack. And you can also make dining reservations through the app!
You can also get your photos taken by park photographers and download them through the app for free. Definitely get a photo in at the entrance, in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle and with the characters!
Multiple Fastpasses
A common misconception is that you can’t get a new FastPass until you’ve used the one you’ve already gotten. You don’t have to wait until you’ve used your Fastpass to get a new one. There’s a time printed on your FastPass (or in the Maxpass section of the Disneyland app) that will let you know the earliest time you’re eligible to get a new one! You can also hold a Fantasmic! or World of Color Fastpass and other rides at the same time.
Utilize the Single Rider Line
Select rides like Indiana Jones have a single-rider option. Ask a cast member near the entrance to the ride for a single rider pass and hop on the ride with almost no wait!
Hang out at Snow White’s Scary Adventures for Surprises
Try touching the golden apple near the exit to the ride and see what happens! After that, take a step back and look up at the window above the ride to catch a glimpse of someone peering down at you.
Ask for the Front Seat of the Monorail
The monorail conveniently runs from Downtown Disney to Disneyland park. Ask to sit in the front or back of the monorail for incredible views and fewer crowds.
Invest in an Annual Pass for Park Discounts
Having an Annual Pass is great to save on park tickets for people who frequent the parks, but did you know that your Annual Pass can get you discounts at Disneyland shopping locations and restaurants? Talk about a great perk!
Get the high score on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
There are different shapes of targets throughout the ride, and come are worth more than others. Targets that are lit up are worth even more, so keep your eye out!
Bring Your Own Snacks
With so many regulations on what outside food you can bring into events around town (looking at you, every movie theatre ever), you may assume that you can’t bring outside food into Disneyland park. You can actually bring your own food (though no large coolers are allowed) and save on the expensive park restaurants!
Get a Drink in California Adventure
Alcohol is not sold in Disneyland park, so if you’re looking to wind down with a drink at the end of the night, head over to California Adventure or Downtown Disney.
