Where To Get The Most Delicious Korean BBQ in LA

One of the best things about living in LA is that there’s no shortage of incredible restaurants. Access to global cuisine is right at our fingertips (lucky us!) and if there’s one kind of food LA does better than anyone else, it’s Korean BBQ. The sweet and savory flavors from the variety of dishes make it one of our favorite foods to indulge in when we’re out and about or in Koreatown. The next time you’re craving some deliciously savory Korean BBQ, we recommend checking out these LA favorites. Here are 5 hotspots to get the best Korean BBQ in town.  They’ll leave you full, satisfied and wanting to come back for seconds.

1. Park’s BBQ

Address: 955 S Vermont Ave (Koreatown)

Park’s BBQ’s authentic Korean dishes have earned the restaurant several awards, including the top prize of being on the prestigious list of The LA Times’ “101 Best Restaurants in LA”. Chef Jenee Kim’s menu focuses on high-quality USDA Prime and Kobe Beef plus a variety of fresh and authentic sides. Don’t forget to order a drink. Park’s BBQ’s impressive selection of Korean premium liquor and sake will make you want to stay for another round (or two).

2. Genwa Korean BBQ

Locations in Koreatown, DTLA, and Beverly Hills

Genwa Korean BBQ prides itself on being Los Angeles’s “Finest Korean BBQ restaurant” and we couldn’t agree more. If you want to enjoy tasty Korean dishes in an upscale atmosphere, you’ll want to dine at one of Genwa’s three locations. Bring a group of friends, and enjoy one of their pre-set courses. Or enjoy some of their soups, premium meat dishes, or noodles. You’ll be impressed no matter what you decide. Their IG alone will make you hungry.

3. Magal BBQ

Address: 3460 W 8th Street (Koreatown)

Looking for an authentic Korean BBQ experience? Magal BBQ in K-Town is the real deal. This restaurant is well known in Korea so you can expect their food to be as authentic as possible. Try the Spicy Beef Short Rib Soup, its a crowd favorite. Pair that with the Volcano Fried Rice to truly experience an explosion of flavors!. Wash it all down with some Soju (a traditional spirit), rice wine, or a beer.

4. Soowan Galbi

Location: 856 S Vermont Avenue, Suite B (Koreatown)

Soowan Galbi offers delicious Korean fare made with quality ingredients. The restaurant focuses on its grilled meat dishes – which makes sense since the word “galbi” means to grill in Korean. Soowan Galbi also features a variety of beloved traditional dishes, like bibimbap, kimchi stew, and bulgogi. And, Soowan Galbi offers takeout and delivery to enjoy some delicious Korean BBQ from the comfort of your own home.

5. BCD Tofu House

Various locations in Los Angeles

Not only do we love BCD Tofu House’s flavor-packed menu, but we also love the restaurant’s history. It was founded by Hee Sook Lee, who learned most of her culinary skills from working in her mother-in-law’s restaurant. There are 5 locations to choose from in LA and while the menu does focus on Tofu, there are plenty of other meat and fish-based dishes to choose from. Plus, BCD Tofu House’s generous portions will leave you full and happy.
