2. The Kut Studios

Seasoned designers and sewing hobbyists alike will love the classes at The Kut Studios. Local sewing classes range from beginner (offered in both English and Spanish) to intermediate. If you’re more focused on how to tailor clothing, Kut has a class specifically for that. You can learn in a group, or take a private lesson if you’re more comfortable learning 1-on-1. The studio’s founder, Lissa Ziranek, has been sewing ever since she was a child, owns two clothing lines, and loves sharing her gift with others! Moving Thread’s Intro to Sewing and 4 week workshops are perfect for beginners. Once you master the basics, you can learn how to add embellishments to your clothes. 4. Remainders

Remainders in Pasadena is all about giving back to the community. All of the materials used are donated from individuals and companies around the city. Remainder’s sewing classes are affordable, with beginner classes offered at $30. You can also learn pattern making, embroidery, dyeing fabrics, and more. Need a space to work? 5. Sew FYI
