It treats guests to celebrity-level accommodations in the heart of West Hollywood. Once you walk through its towering glass doors, you’ll see why experts regularly book it for photoshoots and filming throughout the year. You’ll also fall in love with the Andaz’s pricing. The Legendary History

Although the Andaz West Hollywood features a modern interior design with sleek lines and cool neutral colors, it has a long history that stretches through decades. Gene Autry first opened it as the Hotel Continental back in 1963, but the Hyatt brand bought it in 1966. Ever since it’s become home to some of Hollywood’s most infamous moments on and off the screen. It’s been a temporary home to The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Little Richard and The Who. It’s also become an icon on-screen. You may recognize it from “Almost Famous” or multiple scenes from the more recent “Daisy Jones & The Six.” If you spend time scrolling through Instagram posts about popular LA pools, the Andaz West Hollywood ranks for its beloved rooftop pool.

The Vibe

The Andaz West Hollywood is proud to be part of LA and it shines through with the vibes. The sleek interior decorating leaves room for the massive photos of past guests, like John Lennon and Freddie Mercury. The cool neutral paint colors and upholstery invite you to take a deep breath and relax before you ever stop by the pool. The exterior is also notable in the sprawling city of towering buildings. The Andaz West Hollywood has strikingly clear windows and white towering stucco that takes your breath away as you drive by. It also often features artwork that stretches the length of the building along the Kings Road side of the venue. No matter how you arrive in LA, the Andaz West Hollywood will be ready to greet you. Pet owners can also note that the Andaz has a pet-friendly policy, so remember to mention if you’re traveling with your four-legged best friend while making your reservation.

Dining & Drinks

If you’re too exhausted from a long day of adventuring around LA, the Andaz West Hollywoood has plenty of in-house dining options. Stop by the Riot House Market daily between 6:30 AM and 9:00 PM with light snacks, grab-and-go foods, fresh juice and made-to-order meals. Did we mention the fresh charcuterie board? It’s the perfect snack before a day of LA fun. Guests also love the Riot House Restaurant, an open-floor dining experience on the lobby level with a menu that changes seasonally. Some of our faves include the breakfast burritos, steak frites and to-die-for burgers. You can get their seasonal menu items daily between 7 am and 11 am, 11:30 am to 9 pm or select foods from the 24-hour menu. The Andaz is also home to two bars. The indoor venue is Riot House Bar, which is where rock legends and actors have hung out for the best cocktails over the decades. We love the Star On Sunset’s sweet peach cocktail vibes, but you might also love the fine wine or local draft beer on the Riot House Bar menu. The bar is open from 4 pm – 10 pm on Sundays through Thursdays and 4 pm – 11 pm Fridays & Saturdays.

The Rooftop Pool You Need to Visit

No trip to the Andaz West Hollywood is complete without visiting the rooftop pool. It has its own Bryant’s Pool Bar with chaises and daybeds. Enjoy the bar between 11 am and 7 pm every day, but keep in mind that parties frequently rent the bar’s services. It may remain open later, but only to exclusive clientele. You can view the ever-changing menu to anticipate culinary delights like watermelon salad and our favorite habanero pulled pork sliders. While you’ll love your time at Bryant’s Pool Bar, the pool is one of the most popular spots in the Andaz. It has gorgeous wood floors around the pristine pool and plenty of wicker lounge furniture worthy of a magazine cover. It’s family friendly, but does fill up quickly. The Andaz sells pool day passes to people who aren’t guests, so claim your seats early to enjoy it during LA’s sunny afternoons.
