We’re starting you off strong with this ultimate classic, Hocus Pocus! We have a whole lot of love for Hocus Pocus because it gives childhood nostalgia, AND it’s also just as good watching it as an adult as it was when we watched it as kids. If you love The Nightmare Before Christmas, you will be obsessed with Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. Victor Van Dort, voiced by Johnny Depp, forgets his vows at his wedding rehearsal and runs off to the forest to practice in front of a tree and places the wedding ring on an upturned root. The root is actually the finger of a dead bride Emily, Voiced by Helena Bonham Carter, and she takes him away to the Land of the Dead.

This one is for all of our comedy lovers. If you’re a big fan of comedy movies and Halloween time, you’ve likely seen this movie a dozen times, but why don’t we make it a dozen and one? It’s a classic; that’s just what you do! Halloween is one of the spookiest times of the year, so what’s better than a scary movie parody to lighten the mood?

This has to be one of the cutest Halloween movies we’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, family-friendly watch, this one should be at the top of your list. Selena Gomez is adorable as ever as Mavis and the rest of this star-studded cast, including Adam Sandler and David Spade; you are sure to be laughing the whole way through!
Get Out
Genre: Horror/Thriller
Starring: Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, & LaKeith Lee Stanfield
Eeeek! This is for you psychological-thriller fans out there. Get Out is claimed to be “one of the best movies of the 21st century” by many critics, and for good reason. It can be quite disturbing and will leave you on your toes throughout most of the film. Get cozy, pop some popcorn, and snuggle up because your mouth is sure to drop when you see the turn of events that occurs in this thriller…

We know it sounds odd, but Happy Death Day truly is a comedy, horror, and slasher movie all in one. Critics describe this movie as “Groundhog Day meets Scream,” so if that sounds like something you’d be into, then this should definitely be at the top of your list of movies to watch this Halloween season.
