The Fourth of July is the perfect day for having friends and family over, maybe having a little barbecue, and definitely keeping it casual! The last thing you want is to spend the whole day in the kitchen trying to prepare a 4 course meal while everyone is having fun outside… So this year, we wanted to share a few easy & elevated recipes for you to share with (and show off to) your Fourth of July group!
Summer Charcuterie Board
Ingredients…
- Crackers of Choice (We used Cracked Pepper Water Crackers, Fig & Rosemary Artisanal Crisps & Jennifer’s Homemade Breadsticks)
- Cheeses of Choice (We used Garlic & Herb Goat Cheese, Plain Goat Cheese, Honey Gouda & Brie Cheese)
- Fruit & Preserves (We used Cherries, Blackberries & Apricot Preserves)
- Garnishes of Choice (We used Pistachios, Dark Chocolate, Mint Leaves & Fresh Rosemary)
Steps…
There is no right or wrong way to assemble your charcuterie board. Though we recommend going by one food group at a time. For example, first assembling all of your cheeses, then crackers, then fruit… and finishing with the garnishes. This way, you can have the most creative control and make it as picturesque and artistic as possible!
Insider Tip… Tailor your charcuterie board to your crowd! Include Prosciutto and Salami or create a non dairy board with some delicious vegan cheeses! Have fun with it! & make sure to add some delicious fruit or add some edible flowers for that pop of color!
