131st Rose Parade
January 1st
The Macy’s Day Parade on Thanksgiving might be well known, but the Rose Parade is special in the city of angels! Featuring 20 marching bands, over 30 floats with floral themes and about 400 horses, the parade runs 2 hours along Colorado Boulevard. You’re welcome to try and watch from the sidewalk, but grandstand seats are guaranteed and can be bought.
Winter Fest OC
December 19th – January 5th
Get your crafty side on at Winter Fest or get that adrenaline pumping with ice tubing! There’s also real snow, beautiful lights to walk-through, and a petting zoo! Ice skating, carnival rides and food trucks are also available at the event, which is at the OC Fair & Event Center.
Uncorked LA Wine Festival
January 4th
Ready for a wine night in DTLA? Uncorked LA Wine Festival will have 150 wines for you to sip on, plus food trucks and live music at Union Station. .
Yoga Expo
January 4th
Relaxation, strength and concentration is all put to the test at the Yoga Expo! You’ll have plenty of options from a full day of classes by local yogis. Beginner or advanced you’ll find your fit within the 50 classes and workshops there at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Chinese New Year at Disney
January 17th – February 9th
If you can’t get enough new year celebrations in, head to Disneyland to experience the Lunar New Year activities! Music from China, Korea, and Vietnam to experience, plus a wishing wall, lanterns, and more all at Disney California Adventure Park!
Women’s March LA
January 18th
Women’s March Los Angeles is happening for the fourth year here in DTLA! Highly recommended to take public transit in because there will be SO much traffic. Regardless, walking alongside so many empowered women, and men who support women and their bodies, will make for a very inspiring and powerful morning!
Blushcon
January 18th – 19th
Make your way over to Blushcon at the Fairplex in Pomona to see beauty gurus, attend some workshops and get to purchase from your favorite beauty brands. Added bonus, there’s a runway fashion show!
The Fit Expo
January 25th – 26th
Runners, hikers, weight trainers and anything else under the fitness umbrella should check out The Fit Expo! Martial arts and power-lifting are just a couple of the many activities you’ll be witness too along with the 200 plus vendors all associated with fitness at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Indie Beauty Expo
January 29th – 30th
If you’re trying to support small brands or up and comers, the Indie Beauty Expo is for you! With over 150 independent beauty brands, live DJ and cocktails, it’ll be a fabulously flawless day at Magic Box at The Reef.

January 30th – February 2nd
Take a gander around Photo L.A. to see wonderful exhibits, installations, tours and more all over at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. After you’ve checked out the wonderful photography gallery, you’re in the area, you can even walk over to 3rd and Promenade to get a bite to eat!
