Hello new quarter, new month, and a new week! April is here and we’re ready to enjoy all that the March gloom paved the way for. Here are some of the most exciting things to do in LA this April:
Knotts Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival
March 29 – April 28
Knotts Berry’s events are always berry good. (Couldn’t resist – sorry!) Take a break from the rides to sample one of over 75 boysenberry-inspired dishes or renew in the Wine and Craft Brew Garden.
LA Festival of Books
Hello, bibliophile heaven. The LA Times Festival of Books exhibits books of all genres from children’s literature to sci-fi. We recommend using the online itinerary planner tool before you go to maximize the number of amazing panels you’ll want to see!
LA Beer Festival
The 11th annual LA Beer Fest is back with a vengeance! Offerings from 80 breweries, 200 beers, and food trucks await you at this outdoor festival.
Who doesn’t want to attend an event with food samples, cooking demonstrations, and the hottest food exhibitors? FoodieCon is back for 2019 with new Instagrammable moments, food trucks, and even a silent disco.
Dogs want to celebrate festival season too! Pawsapalooza is a family-friendly event with a doggie costume contest, dog-friendly exhibitors, carnival games, and food trucks.
Free National Park Day
Kicking off National Park Week, your entrance fee to any national park is waived on April 20th! Stick around for Park Week programming including Military and Veteran’s Day and National Junior Ranger Day.
April 12-14, 19-21
Coachella first-timer or experienced dessert queen? The uber-popular music festival takes place this month. While tickets are sold out, you can either get on the waitlist or try to find tickets for resale.
The 11th annual Easter Fest will take place at Grand Hope Park in DTLA. With over 20,000 Easter eggs to find, book readings, bounce houses, and face painting stations it will be impossible NOT to have a great Easter Sunday!
April 26 – 28
Country music fans, listen up! If you scrolled right past the Coachella listing because it’s not your cup of tea, Stagecoach is for you. This country music festival pulls in thousands of country fans per year. This year’s lineup includes: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, and more.
Food Truck Festival
Final Fridays are moving to The Greens at the Rose Bowl! Bring a blanket and some friends for an evening of outdoor fun with food trucks, moon bounces, and tours of the Rose Bowl stadium. Plus: admission and parking are FREE! Score.
Need a quick getaway? Why not plan a long weekend on Catalina Island and enjoy the incredible April weather!
