Yardbird – A Los Angeles Lunch Review

We recently went to Yardbird, a new hot spot here in LA’s Premiere Food, Fashion & Shopping destination, Beverly Center.  With craveable classic dishes and a modern, charming ambiance, this is a golden spot for a chic brunch, lunch, or dinner date and guess what: their lunch service has officially reopened!

Where is Yardbird?

Yardbird is in the heart of West Hollywood, sitting on the corner of La Cienega Blvd & 3rd Street (at the Beverly Center).  The perfect central location with easy indoor parking on the second floor of the Beverly Center and exclusive Yardbird Valet starting at 3:00 PM.  There is so much to do in this part of town, so make a day out of it and hit some of the best shopping in LA at The Beverly Center and Melrose Ave while you’re in the neighborhood!

What’s on the Menu?

Yardbird specializes in elevated American classic comfort food, with a twist!  From Chicken & Waffles with hot honey sauce and bourbon maple syrup, to a crispy crust Mac n’ Cheese, Yardbird’s menu is full of unapologetically indulgent dishes.  We were also impressed by the selection of options that were vegetarian and gluten-free!  One of our favorites was the Humbolt Fog Beet & Arugula Salad, freshly drizzled with spiced farmers market honey. We also tried the Fried Green Tomato BLT & Southern Street Corn (…. definitely don’t skip out on their signature buttermilk biscuits!) All the dishes felt like “home.”

Notable Details…

There were so many elements that added to our experience at Yardbird. To start, the ambiance was lovely.  A modern, yet rustic and warm environment with a stunning bar, high ceilings, and an artistic touch of details from the vintage barn doors to spice jars shelved on the walls.  Now to the food… Not only was there a marvelous variety to choose from, but there were so many touches like the fresh honey drizzled onto our salad, and the photo-worthy presentation of all the delicious dishes and cocktails, to make Yardbird stand out. We enjoyed a “Scotch & Pearcocktail that tasted like the perfect southern pairing and also enjoyed an alcohol-free “Cucumber Lime Fizz,”  a gorgeous mocktail made with egg white and fresh cucumber.

We’re so excited about this new gem in LA, and can’t wait for you to try it. Make sure to arrive on an empty stomach, because you might not be able to resist ordering everything on the menu! Though we didn’t have room for dessert, the Bourbon Bacon Chocolate Cake came highly recommended! For more info or to make reservations, click here. Enjoy!
