“Mean Girls” at the The Hollywood Pantages Theatre

Direct from Broadway, Tina Fey’s MEAN GIRLS is the hilarious hit musical based on the 2004 beloved and coming of age comedy! It’s about a teen named Cady Heron who grew up on an African savanna, moved to suburban Illinois, and gets the ultimate high school culture shock! The newbie falls prey to “The Plastics” – the most popular (and vicious) girls in school,  led by Queen Bee Regina George. The musical is said to be livelier and glitzier than the original film, without anything lost from the story. So fetch!  Details here.

Hello Kitty & Friends Lunar New Year Night Market

Santa Monica Place’s Lunar New Year Celebration

January 28th, 2 – 5 p.m.

Location: Santa Monica Place, 395 Santa Monica Place, Santa Monica

(at Broadway and Third Street Promenade, on level one in Center Plaza) 

After a two-year hiatus, Santa Monica Place’s Lunar New Year celebration returns with traditional Chinese lion dance performances, balloon and dough artists, and cherry blossom Wishing Trees for well-wishers to hang their wish for prosperity and renewal in the new year. Overhead red and gold lanterns will adorn Center Plaza and red envelopes with special deals from participating shops and restaurants will be provided to those in attendance. 

Uncorked: Los Angeles Wine Festival

January 28th, 5-9pm

Location: Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles, 800 N Alameda St Los Angeles, CA 90012

The Uncorked Wine Festival is back! Featuring over 150 wines and bubbles from across the globe along with some “outside the bottle” beverage options, favorite local food trucks, a DJ, live band, photo booth and more! Early admission ($80) is at 5pm and includes an extra hour of tasting with a smaller crowd for the first hour, and bonus pours from select wineries during that hour. General admission ($65) is at 6pm and the event ends at 9pm.

Venice Beach Outdoor Comedy Club 

January 28th

Location: PodShare Venice Beach – 522 Venice Blvd., Venice, CA 90291

Celebrate 2023 with a massive outdoor comedy bash in the heart of Venice Beach. There will be major headliners from Netflix & Comedy Central for this funny 90 minute outdoor stand up show.  Feel free to bring food, drinks, coolers, picnic baskets, blankets, etc. Tickets are only $24.

The Sunshine Mind Book Signing at The Grove

Titanic the Exhibition

Now – February 26th 

Location:  4327 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles

Explore a recreation of the ship’s interior, hear music from the era, and immerse yourself in the story of a real passenger. Immerse yourself in tales of the design, creation, launch, voyage, and tragedy of the Titanic. You will even get to see hundreds of recovered artifacts from the Titanic, as well as get to feel how cold the iceberg was! Bob Marley One Love Experience

A Real Boy: The Many Lives of Pinocchio

Now – October 15, 2023

Venture to the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles to experience a whimsical exhibit: A Real Boy: The Many Lives of Pinocchio. It features the cultural origins, adaptations, and enduring appeal of one of the most popular characters in children’s literature. There will also be artwork on display from Walt Disney’s animated feature film. The exhibit is FREE for all ages, with donations strongly encouraged.

“Inspiring Walt Disney: The Animation of French Decorative Arts” in Pasadena

Now – March 27th

Love the Disney classics like Beauty and the Beast, or Cinderella? Love the ornate beauty behind French Art? Then you’ll really want to visit this exhibition! It explores the early inspirations behind Disney Studios’ creations, examining Walt Disney’s fascination with European art and the use of French motifs in Disney films and theme parks. There are approximately 50 works of 18th-century European decorative art and design that inspired many of Walt’s animated films. Plus, hand-drawn production artworks and works on paper from the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, Walt Disney Archives, Walt Disney Imagineering Collection, and The Walt Disney Family Museum.
