Masters of Taste

April 2

Location: Rose Bowl Stadium, 1001 Rose Bowl Drive Pasadena

Feeling hungry? Masters of Taste LA is thee outdoor food and beverage festival you want to be at. It’s held at the iconic on  Rose Bowl Stadium  with 100% of the proceeds going directly to benefit Union Station Homeless Services. Taste food from some of LA’s best restaurants and bars,  like Mercado, Yardbird, Great Maple and Poppy + Rose. Actually the chefs of Poppy+Rose are the hosts of this years event. Buy tickets here.

The Other Art Fair

March 30th-April 2nd

Location: Barker Hangar, 3021 Airport Ave, Santa Monica

The Other Art Fair is unlike any other art gallery or art exhibition you’ve  been to. They have affordable and original artworks from over 100 independent artists with immersive installations, performances, DJs – and cocktails. If you’ve never been into art, this is your thing. Plus, there are lots of advantages to being ‘first.’ The opening night on Thursday, March 30, gives the curious first access to 130 game-changing artists and ‘first dibs’ on their sought-after artworks. Plus, there is free parking AND all Thursday tickets can book free return tickets for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. So why not do something impulsive and at the same time revel in the creativity? Downtown Santa Monica Celebrates Easter

April 2nd

Location: 1200 Block of Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica

Downtown Santa Monica is celebrating Easter early. Third St. Promenade is kicking off all things Spring with a huge celebration and its open to all ages. There will be  FREE photo opps with the Easter Bunny and fun activities for the whole family…like musical performances, face painting & balloon artists. 2nd and PCH Welcomes Spring

April 1st-April 22nd

Location: 6400 Pacific Coast HWY, Long Beach

2nd and PCH has tons of Spring activities planned for April. The first and second weekend in April you can have breakfast with the Easter Bunny, use their spring garden themed photo opp wall to take lots of pics too. Plus, for kids and adults with sensory sensitivity, there will be a Silent Bunny  And make plans to join PCH Movies and Moonlight, where a big outdoor movie screen will show Disney’s Strange World. Thinkspace Art Gallery – New Exhibitions

One of the most colorful art gallery’s in LA – Thinkspace – is opening a new exhibition from artists Ezra Brown, Caroline Weaver, and Willem Hoeffnagel. Go to their opening night (Saturday, April 1st) which will have refreshments, live painting, video projections and a DJ. Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

Festivities start April 7th

Nothing says spring like fields of flowers in blooms and that is exactly what The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch delivers annually. In the span of 6-8 weeks, nearly fifty acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus fill the coastal hillside with a rainbow of the tall-petaled stems. Join for festivities all throughout the month like Picnic & Flowers,  Meditation and Sound Healing Workshop, and the romantic Sunset Wine Tasting.

Easter Brunch at Lumière Brasserie

April 9th at 11:30 AM & 1:30 PM

Location: 2025 Avenue of the Stars

Book an Easter brunch at Lumière Brasserie and take all the guess work out of hosting. Designed by Executive Chef Ramon Bojorquez, you’ll begin with a welcome Mimosa or Bellini followed by starters and mains such as Biscuits and Caviar, Lobster Omelette, Crab Benedict, Duck Confit and more. World of Barbie

Opens April 14

This interactive exhibit gives guests the chance to live out their life-size Barbie dream. Visit Barbie Dreamhouse, Fashion Studio and Laboratory (among others), watch fun Barbie content at Barbie Theater, and check out World of Barbie Museum to learn more about how Barbie dolls have inspired generations of girls to dream big. Sun Salutations and Sound Event

April 16th

Location: Farmers Park at Packing District, 412 South Anaheim Blvd. Anaheim

If you’re in the mood for something outside of LA, then save this R&R sesh in your calendar. In honor of the month of April, which is named after Aphrodite – the goddess of LOVE, you’re invited to focus on intentions of love for self and others with a free morning of meditation, healing sounds and yoga. The event will conclude by planting California native seeds and intentions. This event is free! Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and sun screen. LA Times Festival of Books

April 22nd & 23rd

Location: University of Southern California

Heralded as the nation’s largest literary festival, the event will bring more than 500 writers, experts, and storytellers, and hundreds of exhibitors to the 226-acre campus. There will be panel discussions from special guests such as Matthew Perry, appearances by Stacey Abrams, Laura Dern, and so many more! Outdoor activities are free, but you can get special access to inside activities and discussions here.

Cirque du Soleil Presents Corteo

Now-April 30th

Location: Microsoft Theater, 777 Chick Hearn Ct

Cirque du Soleil brings a stunning show to LA titled Corteo that you won’t want to miss. We saw it for ourselves and it was beautiful. The show contrasts the grand with the intimate, the silly with the tragic, and the beauty of perfection with the appeal of imperfection. Bob Baker Day

April 30th

Location: Los Angeles State Historic Park, 1245 North Spring Street

Bob Baker Marionette Theater’s FREE annual festival, Bob Baker Day, is back. It celebrates the legacy of founder, Bob Baker, with puppets, fun, and joy for the whole community. This year’s Bob Baker Day Grand Marshal is voice actor Gregory Mann from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio. On opening day, see an exhibit filled with artifacts from the hit Netflix animated film. A Real Boy: The Many Lives of Pinocchio

Now – October 15th

Location: 644 North Main Street (corner of Cesar Chavez Avenue)

Venture to the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles to experience a whimsical exhibit: A Real Boy: The Many Lives of Pinocchio. It features the cultural origins, adaptations, and enduring appeal of one of the most popular characters in children’s literature. There will also be artwork on display from Walt Disney’s animated feature film. The exhibit is FREE for all ages, with donations strongly encouraged.
