The Hot Girl Summer Checklist 2.0

It’s officially summer and Megan Thee Stallion is coming to town to make sure that you’re the most unapologetic, healthy, happy, and confident version of yourself. If you’re wondering how to do that, the LA Girl team has some advice on making this the best summer ever (and considering the last two summers, the bar is relatively low).

Go on a Hot Girl Walk

Let’s get physical, baby! TikTok creator Mia Lind (@exactlyliketheothergirls) coined the term Hot Girl Walks and encouraged people around the world to go on a walk to support your mental health, develop gratitude practices, as well as check in with your goals. Some of the LA Girl’s favorite spots to go on a #hotgirlwalk include:

  • Elysian Park
  • Beverly Gardens Park
  • Venice Canals
  • And the all time favorite, Runyon Canyon.

Revisit your vision-boarding

It’s time to come back home to yourself. A lot can change in 6 months, which is why its vital for you to revisit your yearly goals and see what has changed, what needs to go, and what’s no longer aligned with your vision. So take out that visionboard – it’s time to dust it & revitalize it.

Reorganize & redecorate your space for new energy

From the creators of spring-cleaning, we present you summer styling – move furniture around to get rid of stagnant energy and introduce new colors, shapes & tools to bring new life into your space. Some of our favorite colors for this year’s Pantone summer colors include:

Make a list of habits you’d like to change

The most successful way to change a habit is by replacing it with something more aligned or productive. Make a list of all the habits you don’t want to carry into the rest of the year, then find additional alternatives that trigger the same emotional response.

For example, if you have a bad habit of having energy drinks whenever you feel a little tired, try going for a walk instead. Sunlight plays a big role on the circadian clock – helping you feel more energized and alert.

Change your look!

Whether its getting a new wardrobe to those DIY bangs, it’s time for you to spice things up. What a better way to have a hot girl summer than by feeling confident in your own skin. Some of those changes can include:

  • Haircuts & Colors
  • New wardrobe
  • New makeup style
  • New accessories
