Runway of Dreams Comes to Los Angeles

Who

Fashion designer, mom and CEO of Runway of Dreams, Mindy Scheier, brings adaptive fashion to Los Angeles! The non-profit works towards acceptance of people with disabilities in the fashion industry. She believes that every person has the right to live with dignity, comfort, and independence. Actress, Jamie Chung,  MCed the event. Celebrities like Mollee Gray, Brooklynne Webb, Kent Boyd, The Editor in Chief Erika De La Cruz and many others also made appearances to support the fashion show.

What

The runway featured over 70 models with different backgrounds, ethnicities, and disabilities to display clothing in a fun yet unique way. The clothing was showcased under presenting sponsor Kohl’s. Zappos, LVMH, Target, JCPenney, VS&Co, Tommy Hilfiger were some of the other sponsors that helped in presenting this year’s show. It is rare to get a crowd off their feet or livened up during most runways, but this event blew the notion of “keeping quiet” out of the water. Crowds teared up, cheered and danced along with this year’s models.
