New York Fashion Week Embraces Fluidity with TRESemmé

Fluid hair is a trend you’ll be hearing a lot about this year. Letting your hair down, have motion and freedom is TRESemmé’s innovative approach with their brand new product line: Pro Infusion. Multiple runways at this year’s New York Fashion Week achieved the look of natural and free flowing hair thanks to the TRESemmé stylists crafting these works of hair art backstage. But the shows weren’t the only places to see TRESemmé’s fluid hairstyles, check out their super cool activation below at NYFW.

TRESemmé FLUID Lounge

TRESemmé put on a lounge where Fashion Week attendees could put their feet up and enjoy their short film, Fluid, city views coconut waters, and make appointments for their in-house salon for the occasion. After supporting the West Hollywood launch of , Fluid, I was able to check out their private screening activation, hosted in the heart of the festivities, Spring Studios

I walked into a huge comfy and chic room full of the brand’s latest collection, Pro Infusion, plus “mocktails” on tap, and wall to wall screens of the artistic film “FLUID”. The film, which features the Pro Infusion products and the USA Olympic Artistic Swimming Team, first debuted in LA and is an innovative and inspiring movie that encourages people to let loose and embrace full self expression. This is in no small part attributed to choreographer Parris Gobel. You know her, Rihanna’s choreographer for basically everything! Recently, she choreographed Ri-Ri’s show stopping, electrifying Super Bowl Halftime performance.

In a panel Tuesday, put on by TRESemmé, Parris talked about what fluidity means to her, saying “More than ever we just want to let our hair down and  express ourselves.” I couldn’t agree more and I was thrilled to see the USA Olympic Artistic swimmers not only show it in the film, but physically show off the power and grace of fluidity in the water. It wouldn’t be Fashion Week without….fashion. After a long week in the city, I opted for the most comfortable ensemble possible. A loose fitting, patterned Petar Petrov with draped statement sleeves and leather details (the choker collar and sleeves were trimmed with leather). This was the perfect dress for a morning of cozy luxury because of the fit (loose) and the thick bow tie detail in the back of the dress. Also, the way that it draped around my lower waste felt like a drop cut from the 1930’s and to me, made a huge statement. Dress available at Fashion Full Circle.

I accessorized with a wide-brim black hat, low messy bun and black thigh high boots
