Food + Drink Guide to LA New to LA

Hollywood’s New Hotspot: Drake’s

There is a new hot spot on the block, and we already know that getting this reservation isn’t going to be easy (but, trust us, it will be totally worth it). Ok peeps, if you’re looking for a new place to eat, drink, and be seen in Hollywood, let us introduce you to Drakes Hollywood. From the ice-cold martinis to the mouth-watering lobster escargot, this is a place that we know you are going to love and will revisit often…even if it does come at a premium LA price. Here’s everything you need to know about Hollywood’s new hotpspot, Drakes.

COCKTAIL FAVORITES

Let’s start with the drinks. Drakes has an impressive drink menu, with something for everyone. We started off with the Mexican, which is not your average margarita. Made with fresh lime juice a vivacious blend of tequila, Grand Marnier, and topped off with a limoncello foam, this was one margarita that definitely left us wanting more.

Next up was the Gold Rush, a whiskey cocktail with a touch of honey. This drink was perfect for someone who prefers something that’s a bit more bold. And if you’re a fan of tequila, you won’t want to miss the Paloma. It was light, crisp, and refreshing with a perfectly salted tajin rim.

But the star of the drink menu, as a true LA Girl, was the Espresso Martini. Just trust us!

MUST-TRY DISHES

Of course, we had to try as many things on the menu as possible and we were not disappointed by our choices. The lobster escargot is a standout, and we wish we ordered more. This decadent dish combines the best of both worlds – mini bites of succulent lobster laid on a herb butter bed and topped with a perfectly cooked puff pastry – for a flavor explosion that’s simply irresistible.

If you’re a fan of sushi, you’ll love the pressed tuna sushi at Drakes. Sourced from Hawaii, the flavors are fresh and bold, and the presentation is beautiful. It’s the perfect dish to share with friends or to enjoy as a light bite before diving into some of the heartier options on the menu.

Speaking of heartier options, the scarlet filet and the Hawaiian ribeye are both must-try dishes. The scarlet filet was cooked to perfection and served with a rich, buttery sauce that will make your taste buds sing. The Hawaiian rib eye is equally delicious, with bold flavors that will leave you wanting more. Our hats are off to this cook because we couldn’t pick just one favorite off of this menu – they were all way too delish.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

But it’s not just the food and drinks that make Drakes so special for us – it’s also the atmosphere. The walls are adorned with art depicting Hollywood’s most famous people, creating a vibe that’s both sophisticated and fun. And the service was also top-notch, from the hostesses to the wait staff and all the way to the general manager, we felt right at home and welcomed with open arms. Whether you’re in the mood for a delicious meal or a killer cocktail, this hotspot has got you covered – even offering $10 martinis at the bar from 4-6 pm daily (we love that!). With amazing food, incredible drinks, and a vibe that’s hard to beat, it’s easy to see why Drakes will quickly become the place to be in Hollywood.
