The Best LA Oyster Spots That Will Get Any LA Girl Shucking

It’s no mystery that I love oysters and can eat over two dozen of them all by myself (maybe even more)! My Instagram feed is full of oyster photos and I have no shame. I’m so happy to share my list of the best LA oyster spots. Happy shucking!

LA Oyster Spots: EMC Seafood and Raw Bar

EMC Seafood & Raw Bar
Neighborhood: Koreatown
My favorite oyster place in all of LA and their happy hour is hard to beat with $1 oysters every day from 4pm-7pm and 10pm-close Sun-Thurs. Their premium oysters are to-die-for (get the Kiwi Cups if they’re available, and my mains are the Kusshis and the Kumamotos) and don’t forget to order some Uni Pasta while you’re there! There’s free two-hour validated parking in the Zion Market below, but make sure you get there early because there’s no reservations and the line can get pretty long for happy hour!

The Hungry Cat
Neighborhood: Hollywood
This is another one of my all-time favorites in LA for seafood and is a great place to get oysters! I’m always here before catching a show at the Pantages or before watching a movie at the Arclight since it’s just across the street. They have fresh seafood daily and the have different oysters every time I go. Their happy hour is all day on Monday with half-priced Oysters and 3-6pm Mon-Fri.

Santa Monica Seafood
Neighborhood: Santa Monica
This place is the go-to for all your seafood needs on the Westside. The cafe serves $2 oysters from 2-5pm Mon-Fri as well as other seafood plates.

Littlefork
Neighborhood: Hollywood
I absolutely love this place and more so because of their Oyster Hour that takes place daily from 5-7pm and also Fri-Sat 10pm-close.

LA Oyster Spots: L & E Oyster Bar

L & E Oyster Bar
Neighborhood: Silverlake
This popular Eastside spot is fun for dinner or you can go upstairs to the bar and small dining area to devour some delicious oysters. They feature a daily dozen for $30 and an assortment of Pacific and Atlantic oysters a la carte.

Blue Plate Oysterette
Neighborhood: West Hollywood & Santa Monica
Look no further than this “beachy-chic” spot serving oysters in a half shell or ceviche style. Their happy hour is from 4-6pm Mon-Fri.

LA Oyster Spots: Church and State

Church & State
Neighborhood: DTLA
This French bistro is located in the Arts District and is one of my favorite places in the city. Yes I’ve got a lot of favorites, but hey, this is LA! I always start lunch or dinner off with a dozen oysters (or two) and then suddenly I’m happy all day.

LA Oyster Spots: Hollywood Farmer's Market

Oyster Boys at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market
Neighborhood: Hollywood
While you’re shopping for produce on Sunday morning, get your fill with the Oyster Boys. They’re shucking from 8am-1pm and give you discounts if you get a dozen!

Cerveteca DTLA
Neighborhood: DTLA
I love this awesome spot in the Arts District and the vibe in this restaurant is so cool! What’s even cooler is they have delicious oysters and if you go during their happy hour (3-6pm daily) they’re only $1! They have drink and food specials too, if you’re in the mood for something else. But, why would you do that?!

So yes, I have an addiction for oysters and if you do too, I hope you enjoy this list! I’ll be adding more spots to this as I continue my quest to eat at all the oyster spots in LA!
