From YouTube to Distribution Deal: How “Val” Found MASSIVE Success in a Pandemic!

What

The world premiere of Val took place in Westwood LA this week and socialites chose black ensembles to celebrate the release of this comedic horror film. We’re going to break down why this film’s success drew so much support from Hollywood for REAL, because you’ll never believe the inspirational story behind its release! It’s sure to inspire your next creative, career or maybe even ” power-couple” move.

Who

Victoria Fratz & boyfriend Aaron Fradkin, film makers in Los Angeles, went from romantic-comedy to horror-comedy success in just one year. In the midst of the pandemic, they decided to create a horror short film for youtube. It entertained so many “scary movie enthusiasts” in a time where online joy and entertainment was in short supply, that they decided to keep creating content on their channel that now reaches over 100 thousand subscribers and has drawn impressive support of their production house Social House Films. Right before the 2020 shut down, they filmed a full length feature that ironically fit perfectly into their new found youtube genre of thrills, Val. They landed a distribution deal in what some would call a “quarantine drought of opportunity” and now- that exact film is available to watch (details below.)

Why

Because it’s October and it’s fitting that we serve up a super “Horror-ific” inspirational LA-BASED stories of two creatives! And also, the weekend is here and we need options for binging and couch cuddling! Not into horror movies? DOn’t worry, Val is more comedic and thought provoking than an average “dawn of the dead” sit down.
