Enterprise Rent-A-Car and OneRepublic Take Fans on a Musical Journey with ‘Share the Code. Hit the Road’

Enterprise Rent-A-Car and OneRepublic: Share the Code, Hit the Road

In the middle of the desert and underneath the stars, I got to experience a magical show with OneRepublic and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. It was a concert driven by “paying it forward.” Attendees were rewarded for doing good in their communities with special access to this event and were then able to share the code with three people they deemed worthy to be celebrated.

For the second year of its “Share the Code. Hit the Road” campaign, Enterprise partnered with GRAMMY-nominated band OneRepublic to celebrate people who serve others through acts of kindness.

The one-of-a-kind concert happened on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown just over two hours from Los Angeles, close to Joshua Tree National Park.

I’ve always been a fan of OneRepublic and their song “Apologize” was one set on repeat during several breakups and it was amazing to see the band perform it live. Another one of my favorites that they played include, “I Lived,” which constantly reminds me to live life to the fullest and reminds me of my cousin who passed away tragically at the age of 24. We played the song at his memorial and I was tearing up at the concert when they sang it.

I’m also a fan of Ryan Tedder as an artist and songwriter. He performed “Halo” that he wrote for and with Beyonce and shared the story of how the song came to life. And he dazzled us by singing “Rumor Has It” that he wrote for Adele.

It was one of the most amazing concerts I’ve ever been to and Enterprise’s mission to showcase those who pick up others through acts of kindness made it even more special.

“Share the Code. Hit the Road” put the power of concert ticketing into fans’ hands through a custom code-sharing method. OneRepublic shared codes with their fans who were selected for their inspiring acts of kindness through the band’s Good Life Foundation. There were fans present from all over the world including Australia and New Zealand.

“At Enterprise, we’re committed to the power of picking up others – whether we’re picking up our local customers or giving back to the communities in which we do business,” said Frank Thurman, vice president of marketing for Enterprise. “So it was exciting to partner with OneRepublic to create this one-of-a-kind concert experience to recognize people whose acts of kindness help pick up the world around them.”

“We are thrilled to be part of Enterprise’s ‘Share the Code. Hit the Road’ campaign, spreading kindness across the country by picking people up! This is something as a band we have always been passionate about through our Good Life Foundation, which was founded on the principle that everyone is entitled to live a good life. By recognizing people who have been inspiring to others, we hope it will continue the chain of kindness towards one another. Not to mention, we’ve wanted to play Pappy & Harriet’s for a long time now – what better audience than one recognized for their good deeds.”  – OneRepublic

Last year’s inaugural “Share the Code. Hit the Road” event took place in Denver, Colorado and featured the Southern pop band Sir Rosevelt with special guests Cirque du Soleil. Fans from 32 states attended an unforgettable evening of entertainment, which communicated the Enterprise mantra “We’ll pick you up” by providing consumers with an exclusive experience rooted in travel, adventure and exceptional hospitality.
