The LA Girl Editor in Chief’s Style Guide to Coachella

Ok babes – we know Coachella is about the music, but here’s what I especially love about it: the fashion. And you better believe it was on a whole other level for 2023. I saw faux leathers, bright boots, glitter faces, sheer dresses, matching sets, denim on denim…I mean the list goes on. For me, I knew my desert weekend of #ootd’s needed to be comfy, high level fashion cool, and hit all the festival vibes. After weeks of searching for some chic fits I’m happy to give up all the fashion deets to what I wore to Coachella’s hottest day and night parties. Keep scrolling boo, you’re about to see my full Coachella Style Guide (hope it gves you some inspo for Weekend 2, too!).

Day One: Travel Day

Travel days always need to be the comfiest, am I right? So for our 2 hour car ride in to Palm Springs, I went for a matching navy sweater set from Donni (the bralette and pants are on sale right now) and covered up in this oldie but goodie from the closet, a fuzzy Free People coat. My exact one is out of stock right now, but I found a similar one to fit the bill.

Day Two: Pool & Party Vibes

The heat was on as we pulled up to The Ace Hotel & Swim Club’s “Desert Gold” party. The pool was calling and my earth toned two piece swimsuit from Maygel Coronel answered the call for some laid back chill vibes before we partied into the night. I completed my swim look with a wide brimmed hat I picked up from Nordstrom, a tote I had picked up in Mexico from some handmade artisans and sunnies by Dior.

After some fun in the sun, I headed over to the Nylon House party in the trendiest denim and sequined set by Bebe. The jeans were flared at the bottom and the top was hitting all style points with its corset design. To cover up, I threw on a denim and lace jacket that was also from Bebe. This outfit was a fave and even looked good against the high fashion activation from Mugler. Shop the look below.

Day Three: Camp Poosh, Revolve & Zoeasis

Saturday was by far my busiest of party days. I was so excited to be invited to Camp Poosh, Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s lifestyle website’s annual bash, plus the 6th annual Revolve Festival in the desert and to Zoeasis, the party destination for every self care need. I knew I needed something airy, soft, comfortable and makes a total statement. I found this gorgeous handmade cotton white number by Kasia Kulenty and went for the whole desert flower look by completing the outfit with beige flared denim by Frame and a Bottega Veneta sequined bag.

I took the same outfit over to Zoeasis, and before you start asking why, let me explain. The festival parties at Coachella are so close together that sometimes an outfit change isn’t necessary. I’m actually glad I didn’t change because my chic neutral fit went so well with the party. But, I did change for Revolve.

In the car, I had a chance to slip into this dusty yellow gown from, of course, Revolve. It was party perfect for the scene and looked amazing next to Shay Mitchell’s brown leather set. She was there with her brand Beis, which is a super cool travel essential store. Yup, definitely felt like a bad b in these pieces.
