The Scoop:

Bored of going to the same malls and shopping centers? Never seem to find what you’re looking for to make it a full day out? We discovered Westfield Century City! It’s a fun place to be that’s filled with the perfect variation of trending stores, hotspot bars & restaurants, and even activities you wouldn’t imagine to find at a mall.  Follow along to discover why Westfield Century City is ranked our #1 shopping hotspot in Los Angeles

1. Virtual Reality Experience at Dreamscape Theater

VR is the newest, most trendy entertainment medium on the market. How do you get in on the interactive action? By checking out Dreamscape LA.  Dreamscape is located in Westfield Century City and is said to be a “VR experience like no other.” Open on most days from 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM, this experience is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to explore something that looks and feels incredibly real and allows you to be a part of the interactive game firsthand. Our Editor in Chief has experienced two of the adventure experiences and shares that they’re perfect for a unique date night or family outing. A few of the experiences offered are called Alien Zoo, The Blu, Curse of The Lost Pearl, and Dreamworks Dragons. Dive in and explore the endless amounts of fun to be had by booking a slotted time in the Dreamscape schedule (the same way you would book a movie ticket.)  Dreamscape is available for adults and children who want to escape reality for a moment and have some fun, so pop that VR headset and let the story begin!

2. Visit 3 Major Department Stores, All in One Place- (The Only Spot in La)

Yes, it’s true! Westfield Century City is home to three of the biggest (and most fabulous) department stores. Coming in hot with Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, and Nordstrom, have you ever heard of such a scene at a mall? It’s very common for a mall or shopping center to have one of the big three, but we have never seen a hotspot with all three! No matter what you’re looking for or what kind of budget you have, let’s face it, at least one of these stores will feel like home. Spend some time strutting around the spectacular department stores at Westfield.

3. Spend Time at “The Atrium,” Westfield’s Event Space

Westfield Century City is full of exciting events and activities for people of all ages to enjoy. Atrium Space, Cabana Space, Oasis Space, and Terrace Space all serve different, unique purposes at this mall. Visit Westfield Atrium Space to gather with friends and family and enjoy live music before a delicious dinner at the mall. There are pop-ups constantly housed, and from August 13th to November 6th, 2022, on Saturdays and Sundays, live music will be performed between the hours of 3 PM – 5 PM in Level 1. Bust a move or sit and relax while following along to some fun-loving, live music. It’s almost like a personal concert but from the comfort of your favorite mall. Maybe music isn’t your thing, or you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing spot to sit, enjoy highly decorated and designed, chill spots to wait while your friends or kids are shopping the day away. * Extremely photo-friendly.

4. Shop and Eat at Eataly- Take Yourself to “Italy”

If you haven’t heard of Eataly, you’ve been missing out! Imagine this… A large space filled with a restaurant, a bakery, a grocery store, and cooking school all in one spot. Lucky for all of us, we can visit this remarkable Italian hotspot at Westfield Century City, and experience what eating, cooking, and buying feel like at the same moment. This one-stop-shop allows you to check off a few items on your to-do list in a short period of time and makes for an evening of more than just dining, with an Italian atmosphere that feels like a mini-vacation. Pick up your fresh groceries after meeting friends for a quick (but tasty) bite to eat at one of the food counters inside. Our LA Girl favorite items to order are the Rucola Salad, Burrata Pizza, and Cacio e Pepe, which we highly, highly recommend. Enjoy a special date night or just a gathering with family at this one-stop fresh spot. Enjoy!

6. Get a Workout in at One of Their Fitness Options

“Bye, kids, I’m going to the gym,” you say as your teen kiddos head out toward the shops at Westfield Century City. You aren’t starting your day at the stores, but instead getting a quick workout in at one of the fabulous gyms they have to offer. Between Equinox, Gloveworx, Orangetheory Fitness, and more, you’re bound to find your gym style at one of these, right? Our go-to spot would have to be Equinox, located with a gorgeous view of Santa Monica Blvd, and consistently making us feel like the fitness gurus we are trying to be. Each spot serves its own purpose, which is why we are so glad Westfield offers multiple options. Fitness feels like such a major part of Los Angeles, so how on brand for our #1 shopping hotspot, Westfield Century City, to serve up some amazing gym options during your day of shopping. P.S. stay up to date with the different events hosted at this mall as well, maybe participating in a massive spin class is in your future!

7. Visit the AMC Cinemas- Sneak in Sees Candy or Pressed Juice & Enjoy a Film

We get it, it’s not THAT unique to watch a movie, but these cinemas are located right next to the food court, Tocaya and a Shake Shack and serve as the perfect activity to follow a nice meal or shopping spree. Westfield Century City is home to an oat-milk-based ice cream spot, frozen yogurt, gelato, and several high-end restaurants, so whatever your chosen activity, you’ll be in no short supply of food. NOTE: AMC theaters does not allow food into the cinemas…. but, that’s nothing a large bag can’t fix. (You didn’t hear it here.) Happy watching!
