11 THINGS TO DO IN LA THIS NOVEMBER (2022)

Sadly, Halloween has come and gone, but don’t be upset; that only means that the holiday season is right around the corner! When the holidays are near, there are plenty of exciting things to do around LA with your friends, lovers, or even just your cute self! Check out 11 things that you can do this November to start booking out your weekend festivities. Enjoy!

1. Gratitude in the Park: An LA Girl Meet Up

Dates: November 20th from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Join the LA Girl Team and Los Angeles locals for a morning of journaling, socializing, and affirmations, led by our fabulous Editor-in-Chief, Erika De La Cruz. We are headed full swing into the season of giving, so what better theme for our monthly gratitude session than Giving to Recieve? 

2. Party on the Pier

Dates: November 6th from 10 AM to 2 PM

UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital will be returning to the Santa Monica Pier this month with their annual Party on the Pier for the first time after the pandemic. Enjoy a day full of carnival games, crafts, yummy food, celebrity appearances, photo booths, and therapy doggies, all for a good cause! Get your tickets here!

3. Veuve Clicquot Solaire Culture Exhibition

Dates: Open until November 17th, Monday – Sunday 11 AM – 8 PM

Veuve Clicquot is celebrating 250 years of its iconic champagne house with its first-ever global traveling exhibition, Solaire Culture. The exhibit, designed in collaboration with French curator Camile Morineau and designer Constance Guisset, is a modern journey through the house’s heritage, savoir-faire, and cultural imprint.

4. Big Sunday Thanksgiving Event

Dates: November 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Here at the LA Girl, we believe that what we put out into the universe helps attract the things that we desire for ourselves. Part of this is giving back to our community. Big Sunday is holding its 11th annual Thanksgiving Stuffing Event on Wednesday, November 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Baldwin Hills Elementary School. Volunteers will be packing 3000 bags filled with Thanksgiving food for families in need all over the Los Angeles area. Here’s how you can help: they need food donations, food drive leaders, volunteers, and sponsors. If you feel called to help this wonderful cause, you can give back here.

5. Ice at Santa Monica

Dates: November 11, 2022 – January 16, 2023

After a two-year hiatus, the Ice at Santa Monica skating rink is finally reopening (Yay)! The 8,000 square foot rink will open November 10th with a celebration from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, featuring free skating, a live DJ, and plenty of food and freebies! You don’t want to miss it, but if you do, there’s no need to worry because the rink will remain open from November 11th through January 16, 2023, from noon to 10:00 PM. Skate rental and all-day admission cost $20.

6. Spectacular!

Dates: November 16th at 8:00 PM

If you’re looking for the perfect date night that will wow your partner, Spectacular! is it. This one-night-only comedy extravaganza is unlike any other. You will be entertained by top-tier comedians, interactive magicians, and musical guests, all tied together by original sketch comedy by Alyssa Poteet and Olivia Hill.

7. A Real Boy: The Many Lives of Pinocchio

Dates: November 5, 2022 – October 16, 2023 

The IAMLA, known as The Italian American Museum of Los Angeles, is excited to announce a new exhibition at their museum. A Real Boy: The Many Lives of Pinocchio is open to the public starting on November 5th, and the best part is, it is FREE (with donations encouraged). Located in Downtown Los Angeles, immerse yourself in exploring the culture and fascinating appeal that this special character has to so many people.

8. 33rd Annual Manhattan Beach Pier Lighting Ceremony

Dates: November 16th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM

The Roundhouse Aquarium will be hosting its 33rd Annual Manhattan Beach Pier Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, November 16th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. If you’re looking for some family fun to start this holiday season, mark this event in your calendar! This extended-hours open house event will include a complimentary hot chocolate and a cookie station, games, and all kinds of touch tanks and marine exhibits! And it’s all free, but donations are always appreciated. Remember, it’s the season of giving!

9. Grammy Museum 

Dates: Throughout November

If you’re a music lover, you need to know about the in-person public programs that the Grammy Museum hosts. All throughout November, musical artists, including Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and LAY, will perform and discuss their amazing music. Does this sound like a hit to you? 10. Flutter: A Multisensory Immersive Experience

Dates: Now – December 31st

This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. No matter how old you are, this art experience will inspire you to play, create, imagine, and explore. You will enjoy a guided tour through 14 immersive rooms with projection mapping, painting, virtual reality, and more! 11. AFI FEST

Dates: November 2nd – 6th

Calling all film lovers, this one’s for you! AFI FEST at the TCL Chinese Theater will be screening future box office hits, indie films, and documentaries from November 2nd through 6th. They will be kicking off the fest on November 2nd with Selena Gomez’s new documentary: My Mind and Me. Find out how you can get tickets here!
